We stayed here for 5 nights for business and pleasure wonderful hotel but mostly wonderful staff helping with anything you ask and we asked a lot. From breakfast to the reception team just wonderful people. Rooms are a bit small but that’s Paris gym need some new equipment steam room was wonderful for me and overall great hotel great location. Thank you so much for the team we will be back soon

A charming hotel in a lovely location. Close to good restaurants, shops, Place des Vosges and the river. Good Hammam and small gym were useful additions to the facilities. Excellent, tasty breakfast. Warm, friendly staff especially Flora who helped make our stay special - merci!

Pleasant staff and great location but they need to up their game to become a true 4-star. Namely, both the sink and shower were clogged, a ceiling water leak, a curtain rod that blocked opening of the window, and sadly, breakfast eggs and potatoes that tasted like cardboard and had the texture of blah. Staff refused to make any repairs, citing "ce la vie"

No matter what or how we tried , the hotel charged us yet sent no confirmation of booking nor would respond with proof of sending confirmation prior to the stay . We did book there but cancelled as our daughter joined us and there were no rooms to accommodate three adults so we canceled. We were in Europe for 7 weeks, stayed in 4 countries and 10 hotels , resorts and used a travel agent for most - except this one . What an expensive mistake as the manager was able to dismiss us with three emails, once we had discovered the withdrawal on the credit card . Over 1200 euros . Funny but trains ,tours , restaurants and even bike hire sent confirmation and ‘ looking forward to’s’ . Charles v sent nothing nor will they prove that they did . It’s hard for us as we can’t prove that they didn’t send anything prior. My best advice, don’t consider this . Also the manager accused me of having 2 identities. One was my wife, me the other. - see what I mean - rude , accusative and gaslighting. BEWARE

Hotel Charles V on Rue de Paul is a lovely small boutique hotel conveniently located in the Marais District, with easy walking to lots of great shops, restaurants, Metro and more! Room was nicely done and super clean, and the breakfast was wonderful too! The Manager Caroline is so friendly and kind, and all of the staff and service were amazing. Pierre, who works the front desk overnight, gave us one of the best recommendations of our entire trip which was a nearby rooftop bar that has the most amazing views of the city at night – including the Eiffel Tower’s hourly light show. A perfect way to cap off our trip and wonderful stay at Hotel Charles V. Highly recommend this gem and we would return in a heartbeat!
