No matter what or how we tried , the hotel charged us yet sent no confirmation of booking nor would respond with proof of sending confirmation prior to the stay . We did book there but cancelled as our daughter joined us and there were no rooms to accommodate three adults so we canceled. We were in Europe for 7 weeks, stayed in 4 countries and 10 hotels , resorts and used a travel agent for most - except this one . What an expensive mistake as the manager was able to dismiss us with three emails, once we had discovered the withdrawal on the credit card . Over 1200 euros . Funny but trains ,tours , restaurants and even bike hire sent confirmation and ‘ looking forward to’s’ . Charles v sent nothing nor will they prove that they did . It’s hard for us as we can’t prove that they didn’t send anything prior. My best advice, don’t consider this . Also the manager accused me of having 2 identities. One was my wife, me the other. - see what I mean - rude , accusative and gaslighting. BEWARE
