La Planque Hotel

Lovely room, free upgrade received and kind team.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, about a 3-4 minutes walk from the Metro. Once in the Metro, most of Paris is within 15 min. There are various restaurants and cafes within 10 minutes walking distance. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are indeed small but nicely equipped. The lobby and breakfast area are very cozy and inviting. I had to check my emails and have business calls every night (despite the stay was for a family vacation). The lobby area has 24 hours of complimentary tea and coffee, and pastries. So that worked out well for late-night workers like myself. The common area also has a retro turntable with a good collection of vinyl records. The elevator is tiny and could fit two people, but some boutique hotels in Paris don't have elevators. The rooms are spotless. The showers are nicely equipped. The rooms' aesthetics is very nice. The rooms have plenty of power sockets and USB sockets for your devices.

The staff gives superb service. The whole place is really cozy. Breakfast is lovely and top of the line espresso/coffee machines and sparkling and regular water machine are always available, anytime. Downstairs there’s a big table that’s good for working. I meet up with an international group of colleagues there once or twice a year and we all enjoy La Planque.

When I entered the hotel the first thing I thought of was “what? I paid that much for this hotel?” The hotel is small with no swimming pool or other major facilities. There are no tourist attractions which I can walk to, unlike the other hotels I stayed that are half its price and are surrounded by many attractions. The service was so so. The reception lady didn’t help when I carried my luggage a few steps up, which was not unacceptable but a bit disappointing. The hotel room is the smallest I have ever stayed not just in Paris but all countries.

A small quaint hotel in a excellent local area which has everything near by very walkable, the hotel is very clean and very well decorated they offer daily snacks and drinks free in the lobby as well. The staff are amazing and very friendly and welcoming and they speak english french and arabic i would highly recommend this to everyone.
