Hôtel Saint Roch

Great location and the staff is really nice!!

A wondrful, bijou hotel and restaurant, right beside a main ski lift of Puy-Dain-Vincent resort. (This lift now has some enclosed gondolas/pods to assist with going up _and_ down.) We variously came by plane (via Torino), car (with overnught stay_en route_ and train (by EuroStar to Paris then a _couchette- night train to Briançon). A grpup of us stsyed. for a week to ten days. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. The staff were outstanding. 😀

The first red flag was that for $180 per night they didn’t have key cards but actual metal keys, attached to paper weight. Which you had to leave at the desk every time you wanted to leave the hotel. After that I get to my room and I do have long arms but I could nearly touch both sides of the room standing in the middle. I understand the rooms in Paris are generally small, but not that small. My window faced a brick wall and the room was not very clean. Hairs on the bed that weren’t mine and just crumbs on the floor. Too too it all off in sitting in my room looking for another place to stay and a lady just walked into my room, major problem with not having key cards. There are far better places to stay for half the price. Do not stay here by any means, I booked the room because my mom had stayed there 20 years ago when she was traveling. Clearly the hotel hasn’t made any improvements since the 90s and you will regret staying here.

This is a good hotel close to some of the main places to see and the staff is very welcoming. This is an old hotel and the rooms can be small; however, this is to be expected in old buildings in many hotels in the big city of Paris. If you are looking for a quiet place, convenient location, and don't plan to spend much time in the hotel, then this place is a good option.

The staffs are friendly and welcoming. The location. Is good. Room is clean and comfortable. There is a lift which is helpful. I will go back again,

Room was quaint, but small & outdated. Front desk staff was excellent! Water pressure & temperature issues made for unreliable showers. Shower curtain & tiles appeared to have mildew present. Bed was comfortable. Elevator was small and did not service all floors.

Travelled from Canada with my daughter and husband. We are pretty low maintenance, and this hotel was clean, safe, AMAZING location. However, in spite of the tiny room, we would have posted a glowing review except for one small thing that caused consistent sleepless nights. The A/C has an intermittent, buzzing noise. We tried to leave it off 1/3 nights and after an hour, the noise finally stopped,….but it was too hot. The third night, in desperation we again shut off the air at 1am, and the NOISE DID NOT STOP as it had on night 2. We approached Stefan, front desk, after first night on our way out on. He said he had never heard this complaint before, basically gas lit our threesome and disregarded our concerns. We were then instructed to leave our key at front desk each Time we departed. When we returned to our room, they had stuffed tissue in the A/C, def a hazard, but the noise was coming from the closet where there is electrical that appears to feed the A/C. We could be wrong about this, but that is def where the noise is coming from. So! Avoid room 20 and perhaps this hotel if sleep is important to you. Ear plugs didn’t block out the noise for us BTW. Otherwise, we had a great, albeit sleepless time in Paris! :)
