Hotel Vendome Opera

Due to rush booking, I chose a hotel with a convenient location. But the hotel randomly arranged the 2nd floor, and the door is full of dust... The safe is also locked and cannot be used. The only consolation is that the hotel's buffet breakfast is cost-effective.

Ik heb een dubbel gevoel bij dit hotel. De ontvangst door de receptioniste was zeer vriendelijk en aangenaam. De ligging van het hotel is eveneens zeer goed. Tot zo ver de troeven van het hotel. De kamers zijn aan de kleine kant hetgeen niet abnormaal is voor Frankrijk. Wij hadden een communicerende kamer 603 - 604. Wij vonden de kamers per nacht wel prijzig, zijnde meer dan 600€/nacht voor een gezin van 4 inclusief ontbijt. Voor 2 nachtjes waren wij meer dan 1200€ kwijt voor een hotel dat volgens mij geen 4* waard is. De eerste avond was het meer dan 24° in de kamer. Blijkbaar kan er in heel het hotel maar in systeem draaien, zijnde koeling of verwarming. Gezien onze kamers net onder het dak lagen, was het er veel warmer dan in de kamers die lager gelegen waren in het hotel. Wanneer ik ging vragen waarom de airco niet werkte, kreeg ik als uitleg dat er een centraal systeem is in het hotel en dat de andere kamers koeler waren en nog verwarming nodig hadden. Hierdoor was er dus geen airco mogelijk in onze kamer. Jammer voor een 4* hotel van meer dan 1200€ voor 2 nachten. Wat betreft het ontbijt... Is in een zeer kleine eetzaal in de kelder. Niet echt aangenaam en zoals reeds vermeld in vorige reviews, wordt het buffet niet tijdig aangevuld. Geen ramp maar voor 1200€ mag een mens iets kritischer zijn natuurlijk. Conclusie: matig hotel maar veel te duur voor hetgeen men krijgt. Ligging is wel goed.

The hotel is pleasant, the breakfast is very poor, artificial orange juice. We stayed for 7 nights, on the 2nd night at 1 am the fire alarm went off because they were smoking in a room, the receptionist didn't call the police and didn't know what to do to turn off the alarm, it was really bad! We had to leave the rooms. If it had really been a fire, the carpeted stairs and paper walls, it would have been catastrophic. I will not stay in hotels like this again.

Very disappointing: - Self check-in of the room by QR code too strongly encouraged. - Air conditioning/heating not adjustable (the air in the room seemed stale). - Plastic mugs. - Television offset from the bed (a swivel TV support would have been welcome). - Clean black stone sink, but whitened by wear. - Missing a hand towel holder as well as the shower outlet. - Shower ceiling light not working. - Missing a part on the shower head. Positive points (fortunately): - Location. - The decor of the rooms is pretty. - The cleaning is well done. - The welcome is pleasant. - Comfortable bedding. Really not up to the standard of a 4 star at €250 per night.

I booked a luxury room with terrace. Got room 603 on top floor. Room was not clean. Still waste from previous customer. There was a musty smell of damp. On the 2nd day there was a dirty rag from the cleaning staff in the bathroom. Breakfast is in the basement. Frui**and had overripe apples and partly brown bananas. The second morning around 10:15 am the buffet was no longer replenished. No more fresh scrambled eggs... Service, for example before a taxi, also turned out to be difficult. A taxi came which turned out not to be a taxi. Waited for another one. This refused to turn on the counter and charged €45 to Gare du Nord. Normally this is about €20. Taxi driver said that was an arrangement with the hotel. At more than €320/night there are much better options.

Not worth 4 stars, we had the superior room with terrace, good layout for standard Paris, nice shower but not so clean, still amenities from previous (paper bags id room, dirty rag cleaning lady in the bathroom on day 2, also unpleasant musty smell from moisture Reported this, we were suggested for another room but it was tiny so we opened the windows Breakfast was also disappointing, dark cellar very limited selection and if you come a little later nothing is replenished, rotten apples in the fruit bowl

Very well located. The hotel is in good condition. It is small but has everything you need.
