Hotel Camille Paris Gare de Lyon, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Very well located for train travel south from Gare de Lyon which is just across the way. Small hotel nicely decorated, room small but very clean and comfortable. Shower good. Hint to management: designer lighting is very clever and subtle but older eyes need some bright light especially a pivotable reading light at bedside. We did not breakfast there but there are cafes and patisseries nearby and at the station. A short walk brings you to the Seine with a view down to Notre Dame (still in scaffolding).

Excellent value, convenient location by Gare de Lyon, very friendly and helpful staff, super clean and well designed interior and room (please see photos). Breakfast items represented my all time favorites plus amazing boiler for fresh local eggs. The pleasant servers made your coffee and tea to order. From the front desk to the kitchen, these staff members made my first stay in this delightful Hilton Tapestry Collection a great experience: Clement, Judith, Maxine, Mobido, Anis and Marcelle. We stayed 3 nights and were very comfortable. Location is excellent with Gare de Lyon close by, allowing good access to all over Paris. Walking into the city was easy. Plenty of nice cafes and restaurants close by. Hotel doesn’t have or need its own restaurant.

Great hotel for a quick one night stay! The room was very clean and the breakfast was solid overall. The check in was quick and easy which is always great as well. Location was good for what I was doing in the area and close to local transit! Overall enjoyed my stay!

We had a pleasure able stay at the Hilton Camille. All staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly, we felt welcomed to the hotel. Check in was swift and easy and we were appointed a city view room on the second floor. Lobby was clean and bright. Mostly open plan areas. Breakfast was a continental only option (there is a daily charge for this, but w head this included through the Honours loyalty program). However, there was more than enough choice for our three day stay to have a good breakfast to start you up for the day ahead. Seating is limited during peak times, however as a group of two we never experienced any issues getting a table when we went for breakfast. The room was clean and a fair size. Bathroom was again clean and modern and had the essentials included (soap, shower gel, lotion etc). Mini bar was a nice touch, although we did not use it. The room itself had two minor issues one being the emergency light above the door was very bright resulting in us having to cover it with a towel so we could go to sleep. The other being that as we were on the second floor there was a roof directly above us and you could hear all the movement within that room especially when going to sleep. We did not notify Reception as we saw from previous reviews the hotel is quite noisy. We were also allocated a deluxe room as part of Honours but upon check in were allocated a city view room (not sure if that was the upgrade). However, the room was nice and suited our stay however confirmation of w head the upgrade would have been nice. The hotel allow you to leave luggage at Reception should you arrive early and your room is not ready for check in. You can also ask Reception for alcoholic beverages in the evening and they will prepare those for you from a menu for you to enjoy in the hotel lobby or your room. The items are then charged against your room for you to settle upon check out. This was a nice touch for a drink before bed. Location is great for Restaurants. We would recommend L’European which is around the corner from the hotel and is very classical French church with a great choice of fish, meat dishes and seafood. Hotel is close to Gar are Lyon station and relevant metro stops. Should we return to Paris in the future we would stay at this hotel again but would prefer a top floor room with nobody above the room, to try and minimise the noise.

Very convenient location coupled with terrific staff make this a great choice for your Paris stay. Rooms are small (what isn’t in Paris) but bathroom is updated and overall fresh decor. Breakfast is great and sufficient in breadth to keep everyone happy.
