First impressions are good, outside is lovely and charming, reception nice, staff super friendly and checked in very quickly. Room size was as expected for Paris. We unfortunately had the room next to the stairway so even with earplugs we were woken frequently but on fault of the hotel! Location is great, lots of cafes etc. nearby if you don't want to go far for refreshments. Let downs were a) the fan did not work in the bathroom, as they are small it got steamy and hot very quickly and made the room unpleasant which leads me on to b), the air con was useless, it probably just needs a service and filter change but it just had no effect, I think the rooms would be unpleasant in height of summer due to this. c) the water doesn't stay at the same temperature, not really a big deal, just got to be on guard to turn it up or down respectively. d) the doors have no locks and I just didn't like this, I like to be able to lock a door at night and finally, e) the light fitting got changed in our room randomly one day, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the one already there. I appreciate a hotel wanting to keep up appearances but just letting workers in our room without telling us made me feel slightly uneasy (see above re lock), it could have just waited until the room was vacant given it was not a repair.
