Timhotel Paris Gare Montparnasse

Location is good, near Gare de Montparnasse and Tower Montparnasse.

Not bad

It was located right near the station which was very convenient since we had a train in the morning. In general it was a good stay for its price. I liked the breakfast 😁. It was a bit noisy since our room was right in front of the elevator and you can hear neighbours opening and closing doors (so if you are a light sleeper it might be a problem)

The bathroom in this hotel is extremely small—possibly one of the smallest I have ever experienced. When showering, it is only possible to step in and step back out, with very limited space to move. During my stay, the housekeeping staff did not replenish basic amenities such as shower gel, and I had to request it from the reception. When I approached the front desk, the staff appeared unwilling to assist. After waiting for approximately 2–3 minutes, I was informed that there was no shower gel available on-site and that it would need to be collected from another branch of the hotel. The communication and attitude were not professional, and I felt uncomfortable with the manner in which I was addressed. I was asked to wait 10–15 minutes and come back later to collect it. When I returned, the item was handed to me in a way that felt impolite. Based on this experience, I would advise future guests to carefully consider their stay here. Personally, I felt unwelcome, and while I cannot be certain, I could not help but feel that I may have been treated differently as an Asian guest. Unfortunately, this was my first and only stay at this hotel, and the experience over the 7 days was quite uncomfortable and negatively impacted my trip. La salle de bain était extrêmement petite et peu confortable. Le service de ménage n’a pas réapprovisionné les produits essentiels, et j’ai dû les demander à la réception. L’attitude du personnel manquait de professionnalisme, et je ne me suis pas senti(e) bien accueilli(e). Dans l’ensemble, ce séjour de 7 jours a été décevant et a eu un impact négatif sur mon voyage.

Immediately opposite the Gare Montparnasse, Tim Hotel is ideal for short stays and layovers in Paris. Access to the Left Bank is a healthy walk or short ride on electric or pedal share bikes (velib or bolt) and also to multiple metro stations. Excellent restaurants both traditional and or international and shopping is also a short walk.

If we hadn’t extended our stay, I don’t think the overcharged amount would have been refunded. It wasn’t a large amount, but it was a very unpleasant experience.

We booked a room with 3 single beds. The room itself was fine, although tiny for three adults. The hotel lobby is unheated and fits a couple of people with outlets that don’t fit adapters. The worst part of our stat was with the staff at the front desk. Very unpleasant and had no knowledge or recommendations for restaurants in the area. Our room keys were disactivated at 11am even though our check out was at noon. We went for a coffee and upon returning we were unable to get in the room. Had to go down and get new key cards for the last hour before checkout.
