Hôtel du Bois Champs-Elysées

Stayed for 4 nights in beginning of June with family. Location 8/10 – 5 minute walk from Arc de Triomphe. 10 minutes walk from champs elysees. Right above a Monop general store. But considerable walk to the eiffel or to the Concorde / Louvre which are better places to stay for tourists. Housekeeping 7/10 – Room cleaned properly. But coffee counter not replenished properly. The linen was not changed even once in 4 days. The bed sheet had stains. The hair dryer was not working. They provided a portable one when asked but there was no place to plug it in the bathroom. Room 7/10 – Stayed in a Prestige triple room. Really small with no space to move around and for luggage. Small square pillows much like cushions really. Small bathroom with movable glass separator for shower makes things a little messy when sharing. Checkin Checkout – Smooth with no hassels Breakfast spread was decent and service was good. One of the evenings, we were locked out of the hotel for good 15 minutes. The main entry door was locked and there was no front office staff to open it. Guy came after 15 minutes of ringing the bell with no apology but some excuse in french which we obviously did not understand. The hotel is good for solo traveller or cozy couples. Would not recommend it for families. Has a very small elevator which is a bonus for sending suitcases up and down. Also has airconditioning in rooms which works fine.

When i fly to paris i like to stay near champs elysee avenue where i do all my shopping...This is by far the best hotel i stay in for the money in this area ...you have a grocery story " monoprix " right beside it open from 8 am to midnight,On victor hugo street you can see the " arc the triomphe" literally. 4 streets down you will be at the famous " champs elysees avenue" very friendly for tourist ( shopping stores like louis vuitton , souvenirs and restaurants are located).The eiffel tower is a good 20mn walk from the hotel. Breakfast is between 6am and 11 am...excellente buffet with french baguette , croissant and home made pastries.. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful especially Mr SAGNA...ask for him when you get there he is very well mannered, educated and friendly. They are having some small renovation on the first floor which didnt bother me at all. I will be definitely be bck ! Khalil
