We stayed one night at the Geneve as we flew of of Charles De Gaule the next morning. It was perfect for our needs. It is an older building on a side street which retains some of its older features and is not a modern, luxury hotel. It was easilly located and a short 10 or so minute walk from the Gare St. Lazarre with our bags. We checked in and set out to walk down the Seine and see as many sights as we could. The Geneve is an smaller, older hotel with winding staircase up the upper levels - there is a small lift. The rooms are small as you come to expect in Paris, but clean and complete with hairdryers, charging outlets and bright, new fixtures in the washrooms. Our room had a large window overlooking a shared back alley ( nothing pretty) which opened for fresh air. The breakfast is as expected in France, croissants, breads, coffee and espresso, dried and fresh fruit as well as cereals and was served in a bright room looking on the street adjacent to the front lobby. The staff were welcoming and helpful and booked us a taxi for the morning. The Geneva was affordable, in a good location and simply appointed to meet our needs.
