Hotel le Sainte-Beuve

Nice boutique hotel in quiet area, with good transport links and a good selection of nearby restaurants

What a gem of a hotel in Paris! My mom and I booked a girls' trip to Paris and wanted a hotel that was very "French." A friend recommended a few arrondissements where she likes to stay, and Hotel Saint-Beuve came up in my search--we are so glad we chose to stay here! The staff was incredibly helpful from the start: they offered to book a car service from CDG (and were very patient when our flights changed twice due to airport strikes!), turned a room around very quickly when we arrived hours before check-in, gave great local recommendations, brought coffee up to our room in the morning--the list goes on! The room was lovely and just what we were looking for, and the balcony overlooking the city was the cherry on top. We especially loved coming back each evening and enjoying a glass of champagne (or two!) in the lobby on the couch while reminiscing about our day in the city. The service was that of a luxury chain, with the charm of a boutique hotel--we will definitely be returning any time we come back to Paris! p.s.--The lobby was scented with a beautiful fragrance, and when we asked we learned that they sell the scent as a room spray. We bought one for each of our homes and a couple as gifts for the rest of our family. I'm excited to be reminded of our wonderful trip to Paris whenever I spray it!

Or a 4 star hotel you should at least offer some instant coffee in the room, and toothpaste in the bathroom. The staff was very nice.

Clean, quiet hotel and in a good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Breakfast very French and good quality. Happy to come back!

Very clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as we wanted be out and about. Our room (No 15) was very clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers etc. However, I would say the room was incredibly small (more like a cupboard) and the only window was to the interior courtyard with a view onto the ground floor roofs of the hotel; very, very dark and gloomy. They sky was way up high somewhere above the other floors You could not tell what the weather was doing outside. Quite a depressing room. There are other rooms with real daylight coming through the windows. Don't choose Room 15.

We were travelling with two teenagers so were looking for a hotel with a "family room." This was essentially 2 adjoining hotel rooms with a central entry - one with 2 twins and its own bathroom along with another with a queen and bathroom. The hotel is on a quiet street within easy walking distance of two metro lines (Notre Dame des Champs and Vavin). There are a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and helpful in giving directions and recommendations. We did opt to include breakfast in our reservation. This included a basket of breads and croissants, a bowl of citrus fruits, and beverage. The lobby, although small, is welcoming and warm. We were happy with our stay.
