I have stayed at Hotel d' Orsay multiple times over the years. It is a charming boutique hotel located in a wonderful part of Paris. Actually the location is why I choose this hotel. It is at a walking distance from Musee d' Orsay , Saint Germain des Pres and the Louvre museum and the Tuileries gardens , you are in the middle of quintessential Paris. Aso the area is totally safe, you can walk at any time of the day or night without fearing for your safety! The surroundings are full of restaurants and cafes which makes it very convenient. The staff of the hotel is very professional , friendly and helpful. However the rooms are very very small , at least for the Classic category. Some of my American clients were quite surprised of how cramped the rooms were especially the bathrooms. However I was really disappointed with our rooms assignment. One of the 4 rooms I reserved was located on the 6th floor and there is no elevator! Unfortunately it was assigned to the oldest couple of my group ( the husband just had a knee operation and has difficulty walking ) I only found out the day we departed , the people did not say anything because they are lovely and did not want to bother. Why was I not informed at check in that you have to climb steps to the 6th floor - actually one of your staff member did not even know that there was a 6th floor!! If I had known I could have given them my 4th floor room. That is not consistent with the quality of service offered by Esprit de France
