My room was at least slightly tired and had seen better days. The bathroom had the recent oftentimes for me at Premier inns problem of variable / spurting water pressure. There is a TGI Fridays next door that is expensive and did not seem to have recent good reviews. I think I noticed that the Premier Inn restaurant now only served breakfast.

The issues of there being no phone in the Premier Inn rooms, but a cost of approximately 35pm to phone a hotel from your mobile, is that you cannot make a complaint at the time. I’m in a downstairs room, it’s 7.30am on a Saturday morning and the person above my room has been clumping about since at least 6.30am. Lenny Henry doesn’t mention this in the ad does he?

Really bad road and car park noise, non attentive staff on book in, poor room cleanliness and worst of all the quality and selection of breakfast was appalling, with so many items in limited supply, poor presentation, tables left with empty dishes whilst staff stood talking and staff stood in a gaggle having a social session

When we arrived there was a real funky smell in the reception area. Our room was full of mold all round the window area and soaking wet with condensation. The mold in the bathroom was terrible. It was all over the ceiling and walls and tiles and the taps were disgusting. The skirting boards were thick with dust and had obviously not seen a duster in a while. I do not expect 5* but I would certainly expect a clean room.

Very clean excellent friendly staff. Security very good. Very good breakfast, no restaurant for evening meal which was disappointing, plenty of places within a 10 minute drive so not an insurmountable problem. Would stay there again.

This was our first stay at the Fareham Premier Inn as it proved to be the closest to our destination. It is an older two storey building with no lift. For us it met the usual P.I. standard for the two nights we stayed. Room exactly as expected with their normal room and bathroom layout. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All staff we met were friendly and helpful

The best breakfast ever!! The team couldn't do enough for us and the buffet had so many choices... from fruit and yoghurt to the full English... and unlimited coffee. Rooms were clean and spacious, a little dated but the beds were brand new and so comfortable. Close to the motorway too so it was an easy route to work each day. Free parking, warm and cosy.

Fantastic service, upon arrival, the gentleman Reception was very discreet with my room number, given the fact that there was a lone male behind me in the queue, something that is really appreciated. The room was clean & very comfortable as was the bed. All staff I encountered were very welcoming, I’d highly recommend this Premier Inn.

Dated rooms. Dirty bathroom. Smelt unpleasant. Stains on worktop in bathroom. Mould spots on mastic. Would not stay again. Have stayed here several times over the years but will have to find an alternative now due to dirtyness.
