Motellet ligger et godt stykke uden for det gamle Rockhampton og den hyggelige bydel, men tættere på malls. Byen er slidt og det er dette motel bestemt også.
Morgenmaden kunne man hente i receptionen om morgenen. Smør og marmelade lå i værelset og brødet var pakket i plastik og frossent.
Der er en lille swimmingpool, men ingen stole man kan ligge i. Men et motel er et motel og man kan ikke forvente et hotel. Det gjorde vi nok, eftersom der også stod konferencecenter.

We have been travelling from Townsville on a regular basis for many years now and the Capricorn Motel has always been our go to for our stop over. Gary the manager is always very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are always very clean and provide many little extra above the normal. The last few years we have travelled with our 2 small dogs and they provide a few special rooms at the back of the motel to allow for our dogs. Was not able to check in until 1.00pm on the dot or otherwise had to pay a fee even though it was 12.50pm

We asked the owner if we could check in an hour early as we had sporting events to get to . He was not very accomodating , quite rude about the whole thing to be honest. The room was ready but yet he still charged us and extra $25 to check in early
Also made a point of making sure we checked out on time the next day
Just didn’t find that ‘welcoming’ or accommodating
