We are impressed on how serene and peaceful the place is amidst bustling Manila. Check in seems to be scheduled only at 2 pm and not possible for an early one. After check in they can actually deliver your luggage to your room, except it took too long as we even asked for it after 2 hrs passed by. We stayed for 2 nights, I wish they could have delivered a new water bottle instead of us asking. Rooms are sound proof although there was an event one night. Restaurant cooked delicious food, including free breakfast. I will come back again.

The hotel interior was classic, with a calming and comfortable space, and I was very satisfied. The gatekeeper was also very kind and gave me lots of advice on where to go within Manila. There were several types of breakfast to choose from, but just looking at the menu made it hard for me to imagine what it was like, and when the meal was brought out I thought it was a mistake. There were no shops that tourists would visit around the hotel, and the seaside, which I thought I could walk to, was too far away due to the bad roads. You have to take a taxi to get anywhere.

Don't stay there. The windows can't be opened. The air conditioning is very poor and the air doesn't circulate. It's not worth the money. The safe is old and sometimes works and sometimes doesn't open. The hot water becomes warm in a few minutes. The toilet paper and slippers are gone and they are not replaced. It's useless to put a tip on the bed. The building is more than 100 years old and it doesn't feel very comfortable. It's really not worth the money. It seems like a slum nearby. You can't find a normal store like a convenience store after walking out for more than ten minutes. There are only some motorcycle repair shops. There are some homeless people lying on the ground. There is a smell of urine along the road. Passers-by urinate everywhere on the road. I can't believe it's next to the hotel. It's like a super big slum. There are mosquitoes at night. As a result, I came to spray insecticide the next day. It was really a landmine. I fled there early this morning and am now in the hotel at the airport. The environment is completely different.
