Rim Country Inn

the room was very cold, especially the bathroom. The floor was freezing. No coffee or breakfast available. Had to go next door to restaurant. No amenities. No pool, no anything extra. The price was way too high for what you get. Very dark. Had stayed there 2 yrs ago and definitely had gone down hill.

We were traveling from southern AZ and wanted to get off the highway. We wanted a motel and this place was great. Right off the main road, but still quiet. Very clean and the beds were comfortable. One bed was right next to the A/C which was not the greatest and the curtain was blowing.

Ok, so there are exactly zero destination stays in Payson. Anyway, instead of Motel 6 or Quality Inn and the 4 other pooh corporate motels in town I decided on the Rim Country Inn to support small businesses. It's conveniently located with decent parking. Price was fair. So here's the gist. SUPER CLEAN! Nice couple run the property. Good cable TV, cold A/C and cold mini fridge and a microwave. Rooms are small but why do I need a huge room for a 1 night stay? Generous big 40 inch TV. Flooring is a nice laminate. Bed is a bit firm. Wifi was decent. No free crap powdered egg breakfast. So, if you're here I'd recommend Rim Country inn! It's an old school throw back and the people are nice. They also offer smoking 🚬 rooms which is weird, didn't know they still existed. Mine was non and absolutely no smoke smell. Stay here. You won't regret it.
