Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Spa

Nice enough hotel good large clean room and bathroom. We didn't eat in the evening but did have an excellant breakfast. A couple of people we were talking to said their breakfast was slow service so we expected that but everything was great. Slight issue was slowish bar service as only one person working Played golf on a lovely course which is quite challenging but very enjoyable. Looking forward to heading there again later in the year

Hotels was great service was fab and food in restaurant great. Only thing missing is a jacuzzi in the spa. Our trip was spoilt by the reception charging us twice for our accommodation. Already paid via trip.com and then got home to discover the hotel had also charged directly. Despite informing Hotel of this error on day of departure, a week later and multiple tel call we still haven’t the money returned to our account. As a result we will not be returning as very poor post trip customer care!

Amazing service from Karolina and the team. We booked afternoon tea for a special occasion, and the whole experience was wonderful. The team were super attentive, really listened to what we needed, and were so respectful of my Dad’s dementia. They made my mum feel like an absolute queen for the day.I can’t thank Karolina enough for organising everything, and the whole team for their kindness. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely birthday get away for the night, been to a few of the Macdonald hotels but this is definitely my favourite. Staff were very welcoming specialy Katie at the front desk who sorted us a very nice room. We loved being able to open the doors to a awsome view. Had very relaxing and chill time. Diner was very nice aswell and amiee was very helpful and attentive. Id highly recommend here for a night away and will definitely be back again.

The location is absolutely stunning. The atmosphere within the hotel is so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and outstanding quality and value for money. Noise levels were nonexistent within my room, which was amazing for having a small child. The service from all front of house staff was impeccable. Housekeeping would take the time to acknowledge us even though they were busy. The amenities within the area catered for a wide range of people. My only two grips are the prices within the bar area. And this is outwith the hotels control, but the disgusting, irresponsible dog owners, not picking up after their dogs.

The worst experience. We are here for a trip with a course. They cannot cope with the amount of people. The food is awful. Liquid pate was disgusting and the meat dinner you wouldn’t feed a dog. The showers are freezing. The room is awful too, in need of TLC. Please do not stay here and waste your money.

We had a really lovely stay at the Macdonald Cardrona and will absolutely be back. The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout, the rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and very well serviced, and the views out over the golf course and the surrounding hills are simply stunning — the kind of outlook that makes you stop and appreciate where you are. Breakfast was excellent, but the real highlight of our stay was the staff. Joshua, Razi and the rest of the team were simply outstanding — attentive, warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure guests had everything they needed. It makes such a difference when the people looking after you clearly care, and every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel. You can tell there's a great team culture here, and it shows in every interaction. A superb hotel in a beautiful setting, run by a genuinely excellent team. Highly recommended.

The deal we had was amazing. It was for the day and included the spa facilities, a treatment and a 2 course lunch. Olah who did the massage was amazing. I highly recommend all staff were really friendly and helpful.

First class experience, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful, relaxing steam sauna and spa, pool nice warm. We are feeling so chilled after visit. Outanding welcome
