The ambience of this historic home was a treat. Built in the late 1800's, it really felt like you were travelling back in time. Lots of natural wood, rockers in the parlor and on the veranda, plenty of reading material and soft early 20th century music playing in the background made for a lovely experience. Breakfast (served on china) was excellent and having home made chocolate and lemon cake available upon arrival was a treat. The room we had was a generous size and comfortable. For awareness: no check ins before 3 pm. That was fine with us, but something which could be an issue for others. We only booked one night as we were on our way through Pensacola, but would like to return for a longer stay.

I think for a Victorian-era B&B, it was just fine. Lots of decor signaling the era although some dust throughout. Barbee was very accommodating and made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were very well-prepared.

Man schließt die Tür auf und betritt eine andere Welt.Willkommen im 19.Jhd. Wir verbrachten Weihnachten in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Haus. Besinnliche Feiertage! Wer sich hier zuhause fühlen möchte muss entschleunigen und ein paar Abstriche beim Luxus machen.Schließlich wurde das Haus in den 1890 ern errichtet. Wer einen Blick in die Vergangenheit wagt kann hier seiner Phantasie freien Lauf lassen. Ein wunderbares Haus mit sehr viel Ambiente und einer ganz besonderen Energie.
Man ist hier wirklich Gast und wird großartig betreut. Fantastisch frisch zubereitetes Frühstück inklusive.

It’s a beautiful home, nice people. There was a mix up of names and I wasn’t able to get ahold of anyone for a few hours at check in. It was my first time at a B&B so it was a little stressful. I think I would try it again though.
