Balcomo, a Ramada by Wyndham

We really did enjoy our stay in Balcomo, close to nearby stores (grocery, Starbucks, tim hortons) 5 minutes drive going to okanagan lake. Room is clean and I asked for extra towels so I don’t have to bother them, glad they gave us extra beforehand. Desk chair has a little damage keeps ruining my pants whenever I sit there. Wasn’t able to use their TV would be great if there’s netflix or disney. We enjoy the warm pool. I even witnessed aurora borealis during our 2nd night.

It was a newly renovated room. Beautiful accents, beds were comfortable. Great place to stay. We received free tickets to the Junior A game which was right across the street from the hotel. That was an awesome bonus to our stay.

My wife gave me a birthday present of a wine tasting tour in the Penticton area. We stayed here and simply loved it — so much so that any time in the future when we come back we will definitely stay here. The grounds are immaculate. There is a crew of dedicated workers who keep every area spotlessly clean. The pool area has a great summer vibe, and, right next door, is a restaurant that will deliver food and beverages to you wherever you are located. Talk about a terrific place to holiday!

This is a lovely hotel, especially for families with kids. We are a senior couple so we found it a bit noisy around the pool, but our private patio right outside our room was a nice to have. The large hot tub was really nice after a long day of golf. The rooms are updated and clean, with comfortable beds. The grounds are well maintained and we saw staff at all times, cleaning, emptying garbage cans, and early in the morning they power washed the pool deck and pathways. The evening lighting around the pool was really lovely with multiple fire pits around the pool area. A couple of downsides ... the communal bbq patio (where you can bbq and eat with your family) only provided two bbqs and there was a long wait time for your turn to bbq your dinner . Some people occupied a bbq for up to 20minutes to cook their chicken pieces and corn on the cob which kept people waiting. We were waiting for it to quiet down so we could cook our steak, but the bbqs were so busy from 5:30 till 8:30. I think an additional 2 bbqs would be a real bonus. The second downside is that there is supposed to be no smoking on your room patio (or balcony depending if you were ground level or second floor). There is a smoking area people are supposed to use so that their cigarette smoke does not waft around other people enjoying their space . However, we had someone who was chain smoking on their patio next to our patio and we had to advise the front desk. The front desk did remind these people that the must use the smoking area, but later that evening and the next evening, they continued to smoke on their deck. I didn't want to keep complaining to front desk at every incidence so the second evening we spent our time in our hotel room. I think the staff should have better monitored these guests to ensure they were using the designated smoking area. I should not have to spend my vacation time talking to the front desk about problem smoking guests. The morning we checked out, the guest above our room was smoking on her balcony, so morning coffee on our deck wasn't possible. Better signage in the room explaining the smoking rules (and fines is not adhered to) should be posted in the rooms. So all in all, it was a good stay but for the price, I would expect staff to enforce the smoking rules for everyone's enjoyment. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

The room was big and beds were comfortable. The bathroom setup was good but would have liked a couple hooks or another towel rack. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area and amenities were very nice. The pool, hot tub, cold plunge., salt room and lounge were wonderful and well kept. All in all it is a beautiful resort.

Once a year we leave our families at home and have a mom's trip to rest and recharge before summer hits. This resort checks all the boxes - Nachos + margs by the pool, do a cold plunge sauna circuit, yoga with the salt wall, a book in the nest chair, marshmallows over the bonfire. You truly do not need to leave but if you choose to - you are close to it all. I love the shared green spaces infront of the ground level rooms too!

Close to highway, but quiet rooms, golf, and convention centre. Super clean, cosy rooms. Grounds well kept, fresh, and beautiful. Upbeat restaurant on the rounds as well as spa area A great place to have fun, refresh , and explore Penticton. Staff are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. Check in and checkout easy peasy. Comfort worth every dollar.

We stayed for 4 nights and had another great stay. We come here twice a year and have always had great experiences. The room was clean and located across from the pool as requested. The pool and other amenities were clean and we never had a problem getting lounge chairs at any time. We ordered food from the restaurant and it was good, especially the wood fire pizza! There is pool side service but you have to call the number provided, it would have been nice for servers to come around especially during happy hour 2-5. Overall an amazing stay!

Accommodations were wonderful. The rooms were great, pool area great. Pool side service was great. Hotel was clean and very comfortable.
