I attended a wedding in Houston County and the participants secured a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Perry - National Fairground Area. One of the managers (NOT Amber), a man of middle-eastern descent, put me on hold (at 8:00pm at night) for 10 minutes and then hung up when I tried to call back to change my reservation. I believe the same man called to demand my credit card information for the day before my stay...and he had the updated date wrong. I was extremely leary of providing my cc info to him because I was afraid he was going to charge me for a night when I would not be staying at the hotel. Other than that, only a little trouble getting an available room when I checked in a little (2:30pm) early on Saturday. The room was clean and spacious. The amenities looked fine, although I didn't use any of them. Breakfast was okay, coffee was above average. Amber was very friendly as was another desk clerk on Sunday morning. I had a brief interaction with a housekeeper who was extremely polite and helpful. They should certainly recognize the housekeeper on the 2nd floor for April 7.
