We recently had an overnight stay in room 2 Angus within the Hotel. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation, to all of the staff who made our short stay extremely welcoming and enjoyable. We would like to extend this appreciation further by stating that one member of staff in particular was most helpful, generous & friendly and made our stay a fantastic experience. Many Thanks Jalal. You made all the difference in respect in having an amazing break away. We highly recommend a stay here at Ballathie House. Authentic lodgings, a food tasting experience, stunning scenery, beautiful views, tranquil and peaceful. We will most definitely be making a return to this hidden gem.

Home from home. Ballathie has been part of my growing up, am local lad who has moved away. We have stayed at the hotel several times over the last few years and it has always been special in our hearts. Our daughter decided she couldn’t have her wedding day anywhere else, despite the best efforts of the weather the day was fantastic. The whole hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate all the wishes a Bride can make. From the wedding planner to the chef, maître d', and the Mike the barman all were simply superb. The food for the wedding meal was absolutely top notch. Special mention to Mark the GM, thanks again for being so accommodating.

Our stay was wonderful, staff second to none , room brilliant , food excellent, views you never see elsewhere ,really got to stay best place we have ever stayed at and we have traveled the world ,staff go out of there way to make stay great ,so much so we have booked to stay again

We stayed in this beautiful part of the country for a couple of nights. The hotel is set in amazing countryside with beautiful walks along the river. Although the hotel has been modernised it has been done respectfully so the soul has not been *****ped out of it. Our room was in the main house, the room was large with plenty of storage and a very soft, comfy bed. The bathroom had a bath and a really good shower. Unfortunately, we did have very noisy neighbours. The WiFi is also slow and tends to lag. The breakfast was excellent as was our evening meal. Michael, the barman is very entertaining and certainly knows his whisky. All the staff are very nice and friendly. I am looking forward to staying again.

Another wonderful stay at Ballathie! Room and dinner were fantastic, beautiful views of the River Tay. The bar is always full of friendly guests and great banter with the barman. Why just a 4 🌟 review? They have changed their usually wonderful piping hot breakfast to a buffet… so disappointing…. These buffets can never replace the wonder that is a freshly cooked breakfast delivered to you piping hot on a warm plate! Please change it back!

We were made very welcome from the start. Standards of service was very high, down to the last detail.
Food was excellent, couldn't fault it in any way.
You don't mind paying a little bit more if the staff, service and for are excellent. Well done to all the staff at Ballathie. We'll be back

This was the most joyous experience! The place itself is beautiful. Charming and a wonderful space to be in. My husband and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish with the lovely rooms, which were so comfortable, to the wonderful attention from all the staff who were so welcoming. The evening meal was seriously stunning and I praise the chef and his team for creating such an imaginative and delicious gourmet meal. We sure hope to be back it was a long way from Australia, but worth it. Special thanks to Michael for the whiskey lesson and for our wonderful waiter head of staff who let me meet the chef. Keep up the great work guys!

To Mark and the whole team at Ballathie Country House Estate... Thank You!! Travelling solo for business can sometimes be quite tough however the team at Ballathie went above and beyond to make sure my stay here was nothing short of exceptional. The manor and surrounding scenery is stunning and the service is second to none. The dining is exemplary with an incredible dinner menu and delicious breakfast service. It really is an amazing hotel and, even though the drive up from london is 7 1/2 Hours, I certainly will be back.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and all down to the General manager Jalal and his wonderful team, Michelin star quality food excellent rooms and bedding. The attention to detail is so professional. We are returning again in May and September and I just can’t wait.
