Overall a normal hotel. Location is great. Walls are not soundproof, the sound of the lift and the noise from occupants could be heard clearly and loudly. Also it would be great if they were to provide toothbrush and toothpaste, and toilet with bidets. Housekeeping department did a great job in ensuring the cleanliness of the room.

The room is spacious enough, but I would like to point out that their amenities are really old. Of my 7-night stay here in Mercure Perth, I didn’t get hot shower in 3 of the nights. I talked to the concierge about that and they said that it’s because it’s during peak season, so their hot water system is overloaded!
Honestly speaking, I wouldn’t expect having a hot shower is a luxury in a modern society. Worst still, I got sick in the middle of the trip because of this. Even if their staff helped by adjusting the hot water system, the supply of hot water for shower was still very inconsistent. Is hot water for shower too much to ask for? The water was just barely warm.
Staff members are generally helpful and kind except for the lady manager with long, straight, black hair for night shift. Breakfast is standard American buffet, resto staff members are also helpful.

A years old boy requested to stay in the hotel. It was not easy to find a decent hotel in a reasonable price in a short period of time. However, Mercure Hotel answered all the doubts so we stayed two nights. Great location, and service and is excellent for family holidays. The staff are friendly, the room is spacious and perfect for a family. My two kids love the hotel. The location is very accessible and within walking distance. My son enjoyed the pool and walking at nearby shops. Recommended for families, couples or single. We will definitely come back on the next term break. My son loves it.
