Extensive work being carried out meant noise throughout the hotel.
Every time we needed reception we had to wait for staff to return.
On the plus side, the restaurant staff were excellent.

Nice looking hotel and bar area. Good breakfast. Deck overlooking river. Short walk across the river there is a great restaurant. Crinkly waterproof mattress cover and low quality sheets. Was looking forward to using the nice bathtub and provided robes. Water was not much hotter than lukewarm. Front desk tried a different room...water came out brown. Tried yet another room...water still just warm. Jacuzzi dry.

Hotel muito bem localizado. Perfeito para uma volta a pé no fim do dia. Tem uma vista bonita do rio. Próximo à estação de trem. Café da manhã ok. Funcionários simpáticos e prestativos. Limpeza do quarto Boa também. Bom custo benefício. Recomendo

Spacious room overlooking the Douro River. No air conditioning the night we stayed because they said it was cold and raining and only the heat is available. The receptionist at check in was not very friendly or accommodating. She acted like it was a lot of trouble for her to arrange a wine tasting tour for us. The restaurant was deafening loud during dinner because there were a couple of tour groups. I would not recommend shrimp risotto.

An excellent hotel with a top location. The view of the river is relaxing, great for walking and discovering gastronomy and wine tasting. I recommend and suggest a getaway if possible during the week. In addition to being calmer , you make more use of the hotel and the time you spend there

The air conditioning in the room didn't turn on. The mattress was of poor quality. There were no sockets near mirrors. I couldn't use the hair straightener. We stayed in a family suite, but there was only one blanket for the two beds. As the AC didn't work we were cold.

Hotel very well located on the banks of the Douro. Infrastructure in general leaves a lot to be desired. Example: at check-in there is no covered place to park and leave your bags, nor people to help with your luggage. Very limited parking (most cars are left outside). Large and comfortable rooms. In one of the rooms some insects appeared. Reasonable food. Limited wine list. The good service at reception, in the bar and in the restaurant stands out, despite the fact that staff are often overloaded with multiple tasks. Three star hotel at most. It could be much better.
