Exceptional service and an incredibly unique experience staying in a chateau full of historical artifacts and artwork. The staff are obviously passionate about what they do, and go to great lengths to he welcoming and accommodating.The wine tour and tasting was very thorough and equally delicious!

Beautifully restored 19th century chateau surrounded by vineyards, yet close to Bordeaux. Had an amazing one night stay followed by a great tour of the winery and a wine tasting the next day Spectacular chateau, gardens and vineyard!

It is unthinkable to visit Bordeaux and do not consider going to a winery. We decided on Chateau Pape Clement because of its proximity to the city. Pessac is reached by train (one station from Gare St Jean) or tram B, and from there a walk to the winery. We did the guided tour in French (also available in English), but we didn't like the guide. He limited himself to "reciting" the typical things (history of the place, the wine-making process, the varieties of wines, etc.), he needed to be in contact with the public and make us participate in the story. If you have not been to a winery before, it will be difficult for you to understand what it tells you, since during the visit you only see cellars and barrels, and not the production chain, so you will have to imagine it. At the end there is a wine tasting, by the way, very delicious (and expensive).

I'm a generally thrifty person, so when I booked a one-night stay at this price point I cringed a little. But I'm SO GLAD I did! We had an amazing time. David, the concierge, was an absolute treasure. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and gave us a wonderful tour of the grounds packed with interesting historical facts. The food and wine were great. The wine tour and tasting were also quite fun, and all of the staff were super helpful and spoke perfect English. The building itself was gorgeous and the room very comfortable with exactly the kind of old-fashioned luxury you expect from the photos.

We spent a weekend at Château Clément and we had a timeless moment….the monument is just incredible, the Egrégoire is spacious, well equipped, the bathroom and its whirlpool bathtub are magnificent!!! The staff takes great care. Dinner and breakfast are made with varied products, everything was delicious. We have absolutely no complaints, just perfect.
