Have stayed here many times as daughter went to University there. Excellent rooms, super comfortable beds (I would love to find out the make of their mattress!). Jake the Front Desk manager is just excellent and seems to know in advance what you need. Rooms are clean. Hotel was clean. Staff were all friendly and highly efficient. Very covid safe and clean. Join the Wyndham club for the best discounts. We liked the breakfast and the coffee was remarkably good, surprisingly so for a hotel breakfast. It is near many restaurants and away from downtown which makes it safer and much quieter. Felt very safe. Near major shopping too.

I cannot find enough positive adjectives to describe the staff at this location. Lori, Jill, Amarutha, Doug, and another young lady (I didnt catch her name) are wonderful to deal with and made every interaction a positive one. Thank you for everything!

I would give this one a 2.5. Check in was fast, looks like they have tried to update the hotel, carpets etc. We walked in our room and a bad smell smacked us in the face. My wife said it smelled like rotten hot dogs and it did not go away the whole weekend. Rooms are small but adequate, fridge, microwave. I think the smell theme was in the whole hotel, stairwell smelled like pee and hallways smelled like pot, hmmm. Breakfast was Ok but they should ditch the covid protocols and let people get their own breakfast. The servers did their best but if you forgot something you had to stand in line again. The location is good, plenty of restaurants near by. I was going to give a 2 but breakfast and location bumps to 2.5.

First of all, the staff is the nicest we have come in contact in any hotel that we have stayed. The rooms have nice views of a river in the back of the property. You would not know that you are actually in the city of Peterborough. The breakfast is very good. Great variety each day. The pool area has a nice outside sitting area. The beds are comfortable as well. Our stay was very relaxing.

My brother and I were up in Lakefield visiting a friend. We wanted a centrally located, clean hotel. The Village Inn fit the bill. It is located right in the middle of town and an easy walk to restaurants and the canal. Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Decor is certainly not hipster but fine. I'd call it homey. Hotel was very quiet but we were there off -season. We liked it and will be back. A note: the restaurant in the hotel is closed so we ate at other spots in town. Not a problem as all were close.
