Charming, historic yet comfortable with private bathroom. Hopefully this area will begin to thrive in the coming years since the Raglund Mansion is a gem.

I wish we would have been closer to dining options. After a 8 hour drive, I wasn't feeling getting back in the car and find a restaurant downtown. Otherwise the stay was very pleasant. Ms Claudia was a wonderful hostess. Thanks again..

Wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. Could not have been treated better. Breakfast was delicious. Everywhere I looked I discovered something unique. We will be back to stay!

This was the best lodging experience in have ever had! The place is elegant and almost regal and makes your feel like the moment you walk in. Even thought it has this rich aura about it you are made to feel very at home by the hostess Claudia. She is very kind and responsive to any of your request and is knowledgeable about the history of the mansion. She makes hot breakfast fresh each morning that is absolutely delicious and brings it out to you right after she finishes cooking. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were extremely spacious and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. My only regret is that we only booked one night. Can't wait to stay here again!

If you are ever in the area, this is a great place to stop over or, better still, use as a base for a few days. The owner is lovely and you will never want for anything. Good choice for breakfast, impeccable and beautiful house and rooms.

Absolutely delightful! Claudia was readily available and made us feel right at home. Parking is on the property and with Google it was easy to find. I am a southern girl and found the historic home amazing. Our room was spacious and cozy, and most importantly, immaculate! We were offered a glass of wine and found it relaxing to enjoy the outdoor garden. We had a variety of choices to choose from for breakfast, which was served early as we had yet a long way to go. Claudia, we thank you for your hospitality! I hope we have the opportunity to return.

We are pretty experienced staying in B&B Guest Houses and weren't sure about Ragland Mansion primarily because the rate was very reasonable. But based on TA reviews and it was pet friendly, decided to make reservations. We were in Petersburg to tour the Battlefield and Blandford Cemetery and Church on our drive north. We had a large, comfortable room (Library Room) on the first floor with separate entrance. It was beautifully furnished with many Victorian era pieces. Wine and other beverages were available which was appreciated after a day of touring. Breakfast, which we ordered the night before, was set for two in a beautiful sitting room and was perfect. And kudos to Claudia who made all of this a wonderful experience. Do not think twice about staying with her.
