Wir hatten einen kleinen Tisch im Restaurant reserviert. Der Empfang war freundlich. Das Personal trug Freizeitkleidung und war daher - wenig stilvoll - kaum von den Gästen zu unterscheiden. Eine Wartezeit von 15 Minuten auf eine Flasche Wein, von fast 1 Stunde auf einen Gruß aus der Küche (der zudem stark improvisiert anmutete) und etwa 1,5 Stunden auf den Hauptgang sind völlig inakzeptabel, zumal der Hauptgang für eine Person über 10 Minuten zeitlich versetzt serviert wurde. Das Essen war zwar überwiegend okay, die Fleischqualität aber z. B. beim Zwiebelrostbraten unbefriedigend. Die aufgerufenen Preise stehen - bei allem Verständnis für die gegenwärtige Situation in der Gastronomie - angesichts der vielfältigen Mängel leider in keinem vernünftigen Verhältnis zu dem, was an diesem Abend geboten wurde. Da konnten auch eine noch so herzliche Entschuldigung des Servicepersonals sowie ein gratis Espresso kaum über die Enttäuschung hinweghelfen. Dies gilt umso mehr, als das Traditionshaus über viele Jahrzehnte eine gastronomische Institution in Pfullendorf war.

Wir waren mehr als 22 Jahre Gast in diesem Haus. Unzählige Feste wurden gefeiert, Gäste im Hotel einquartiert (selber auch genächtigt) oder Abends mal geschwind was gegessen oder im Felsenkeller bei einem Gläschen den Tag ausklingen lassen. In dieser Zeit, hat man natürlich viele Servicekräfte kommen und gehen sehen, außerdem auch noch den Inhaberwechsel miterlebt. Und hier liegt nun der Hase im Pfeffer: Seither fehlt diesem Haus die „Seele“. Die langjährigen netten und zuvorkommenden Servicekräfte sind nicht mehr da, leider sind die Inhaber nicht greifbar. Nach den letzten Besuchen ging es uns/mir nicht gut, was auf die Qualität der Speisen zurückzuführen war… Leider kann ich diesem Haus nichts mehr abgewinnen… Schade!

Die Bilder auf der HP waren echt viel versprechend, leider sind wir im Gästehaus ( Nebengebäude) gelandet, Zimmer 516 ist leider nicht zu empfehlen, da kein Internetempfang. Zimmer sind ok, wenn auch stickig . Betten naja . Frühstück im Haupthaus bietet (fast) alles was man sich wünscht, zu Stoßzeiten hapert es etwas mit dem Nachlegen, aber man hat ja Zeit . Beim nächsten mal werden wir wohl woanders buchen :-)
