Viking Nature Resort

These were an unforgettable 6 days at the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room had an authentic style, and every detail was well thought out. The staff's attitude was the best. The sea was perfect – I went to Long Beach. I vacationed in July. The food in the restaurant was delicious, though the Green Curry was too spicy for me. The weather was wonderful, only raining on the 6th day. The only downside was the path to the beach, where you had to hold onto a rope. If they built stairs, this would be the best hotel on the island. Every evening I walked into town, which took 20 minutes, but I really wanted to stroll around, not just lie around and eat all day. I found a super massage salon called Apple. The road was picturesque. I went on a day trip to three islands – it was magical. These were fabulous days of my life. The room was cleaned daily, with two bottles of water provided each day, and mosquito repellent in the room, but I didn't get a single bite. In the evenings, an artist sang to guitar music in the restaurant. Turn off the auto mode on the air conditioner and switch it to 'quietly' mode, and it will work silently. The sunsets were beautiful, like a painting. Once, an exhausted snake crawled onto the beach. Everyone photographed it, and it didn't bite anyone. The scenery is beautiful with stunning sunset views. The service was excellent; staff were always smiling and helped with our luggage. Our room's balcony had a hammock and beautiful ocean views. We rented a boat for 1800 Thai Baht (bargain required) to visit 5 spots, including snorkeling. You definitely need mosquito spray when eating at the hotel restaurant, which has a tribal feel. The path to Long Beach is very slippery (downhill), so I wouldn't recommend walking it at night – you might have a 'mysterious' experience and see insects straight out of a textbook! Most guests at the hotel were Russian or Chinese. The hotel has more than one beach; if you walk further in, you'll find another. On the beach, we saw crabs as big as dinner plates and hermit crabs. Overall, it was pretty good.

This hotel is perfectly situated for those who love a jungle getaway. It boasts two small sandy beaches. We were warned that monkeys might visit, but during our 3-night stay, we only encountered kittens, crabs, hermit crabs, and herons. Long Beach is nearby, but the path to get there is an inconvenient jungle trail. In some spots, you need to hold onto ropes to climb up or down, so we didn't go there much. Breakfast, in our opinion, was a 3 out of 5. The selection wasn't huge, and there were a lot of flies and gnats that you couldn't escape from during breakfast. The pier is about a 15-minute walk along the coastal paths. Boat transfers to the hotel from the pier (for check-in) seem to be available hourly. Tickets for speedboats or ferries off the island can be purchased directly at the hotel.

The hotel environment is fantastic! It's close to the beach and even has a restaurant with live music. Highly recommended!

When they talk about monkeys at the hotel, they're not kidding! A family of monkeys comes in the evening, waiting for you to toss them some treats. The hotel and room are top-notch, and the terrace is really cool. We only stayed for one night, which was definitely too short – you need at least three to truly enjoy it. If you book a room at this hotel, a free transfer in a longtail boat will be waiting for you at the pier to take you to the hotel, and the same applies for your return to the ferry.

We stayed at this hotel in May 2026. I really liked the hotel; it was very atmospheric and unique. The bungalow's design and interior were absolutely stunning, and the view from the terrace was simply a dream. The breakfasts were delicious – a little bit of everything, but all made with soul. We went to Long Beach next door, and I'll never forget the amazing color of the water. The staff were polite, except for one guy who greeted us from the water taxi and swept the restaurant area in the morning. For some reason, he was always grumpy, unhappy, and irritated with tourists, and he didn't hide his displeasure, mumbling something unpleasant under his breath in his own language. I hope the hotel management addresses this soon and takes action. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at the hotel and would gladly return to this island and this hotel. I highly recommend this unique experience to everyone.
