Lokal is a very stylish and comfortable hotel with one glaring caveat. The hotel is adjacent to the El train. This resulted in constant train noise all night long with the exception of 2-3 overnight hours when the train does not run. I was only able to sleep during those handful of hours. It is just too loud and disruptive. This would be an issue for all rooms facing the El which are the odd numbered rooms.
I am not certain if the rooms on the other side of the building would be as loud. Those are the even numbered rooms.

Train track's outside window os tough they supply ear plugs but didnt work great. Not much sleep. But beautiful clean well stocked and maintained property

Everything was great. The room was beautiful and comfortable. My only complaint is why there was a Black Lives Matter sign in the window. Why does my hotel need to be political? Its completely unnecessary.

I was visiting Philly for the very first time and staying at the Lokal Hotel was the best ever. It was close enough to downtown, but far away from all the noise and activities. The customer service was amazing and very responsive. The place is super chic and unique. I would highly recommend staying here.

My stay at Lokal Hotel Fishtown was amazing! The room was beautiful and I wished I could live there forever! Everything was very clean and it felt very homie. They take covid safety precautions seriously, it’s contactless upon arrival and departure. The location is perfect, there are a lot of good restaurants all in walking distance! Can’t wait to visit again.
