Beautifully restored and decorated, well-located boutique hotel in a "converted" house. Somewhat limited (2-7pm) check-in hours (which are communicated to the guest by email and phone).
Exceedingly helpful and friendly owner and staff.
Beds are very comfortable.
Be aware of no elevator if mobility challenged.

We loved our stay at the Dwight D. The attention to detail was amazing, Vittoria helped us book dinner reservations on one of the busiest Saturdays of the year (night before Easter) our room was spacious and comfortable and we loved sitting in the back garden sharing a bottle of wine with friends. It is in the heart of a hip neighborhood with lots of drinking and dining options-would definitely book here again.

From the perfect location within walking distance to all Philly locations to the absolutely gorgeous interior design, this is a must stay if you are planning a trip to Philly! Owners are extremely kind and helpful. Rooms (especially the bathrooms) are stunning and thoughtfully designed and decorated. Comfortable beds. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer! Book your stay at the DwightD and you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel in a very convenient location. Vittoria greeted us and she was so welcoming and charming. She and Ken went out of their way to help us settle in. I would love to come back in better weather and sit in the lovely garden. But having tea in the comfortable sitting area on the first floor after a long day of walking was a treat.

Outstanding hotel. Gracious and functional hotel, quiet, comfortable, very well run with careful attention to detail with many thoughtful touches. It's a great location, just a few minutes from Rittenhouse Sq; lovely neighborhood to walk with many shops and restaurants nearby. It's a great base for exploring, or, the space is so comfortable you could just enjoy relaxing there. Victoria, one of the owners, is highly responsive and efficiently takes care of things. She can give you a better orientation to Philadelphia in 3 minutes than you could get in a couple of hours slogging through internet sites. Comfortable bed. Everything very clean and well-maintained.

The Dwight D is the perfect spot to enjoy Philly. Historical combined with great amenities in the rooms. Ken and the team are amazing and make the stay so enjoyable. Rooms a comfortable, wifi is solid, spacious, etc.. Relaxing. The patio is the perfect spot to unwind after seeing the sites. So glad we chose to stay there and will be back.

Staying at the Dwight D was a brilliant experience! Unfortunately, my husband and I got a flat tire on our way into Philly, and Vittoria actually stayed up and waited for our arrival; she truly went above and beyond. Now, I don't recommend getting a flat tire...but this does show you the level of service that the Dwight D offers to people who stay! They care about your needs and your well-being. Vittoria was in contact with me the entire time during our rough experience, and it was wonderful to see a then-stranger caring about us. Additionally, the hotel itself is just lovely. The architecture of the building is stunning, and our room was decorated beautifully. We loved the shower (it had a rainfall shower head), and I love any place that uses L'Occitane for toiletries (including lip balm)!! The location is great due to its proximity to Walnut Street and Rittenhouse Square, and everything was accessible for the weekend. I highly recommend staying at the Dwight D. It was one of my more memorable hospitality experiences due to the kindness of the staff (who always greeted you by name) and comfort provided!

Perfect stay. Incredible hospitality, vibe, location (and ridiculously comfortable bed). We plan to make a stay here an annual tradition. The historic details of the property, the beautiful garden space, the exquisite design and artwork all lead to a guaranteed positive experience.

The Dwight was perfect for our weekend getaway with old friends! Lovely space! Excellent location for restaurants, museums and other attractions. Very comfortable and relaxing. Enjoyed the garden and the lounge. Vittoria and Ken do a marvelous job running this gem! Thank you.
