Hotels Near Bến Tàu DL Thắng Linh - beach starfish in Phu Quoc Island

Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. If we have known, we would stay elsewhere for sure (we will request that our data are permanently deleted from their system and we suggest that you do the sam

I booked Villa for 6 people, the villa is so big, have private pool and can stay at least 15 people. The activities in water world are so attractive and fair price compared to other beach

The hotel is located in the downtown area right next to the beach, so the location is excellent. The check-in starts at 3 PM, just like another hotel; however, there is no warm service, and the room booked from trip.com has been arranged on the lower floor. The results were noisy on the lower floor because we reserved an ocean view, and the hotel swimming pool is just below the balcony. So we asked to change the room to a higher floor after several negotiations with the receptionist and added additional costs. There are no highlights about the hotel facility and average five-star rating. We swim more by the swimming pool than at the beach because the seawater quality is not that good. For the morning breakfast, there are many options, but nothing outstanding. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Overall this was a good stay, but I'm going to likely try someplace else when returning to Phu Quoc, mostly to find a better match for the vibe I like out of a beach resort. Staff was pleasant, but not overly memorable. The resort is a lot bigger than I thought and most of the clientele that I saw were couples and families. I had a beachfront bungalow that was very nicely furnished with a king sized four poster bed, a huge bathroom and an outdoor balcony overlooking the beach. You can hear the waves at night once the very loud EDM/hip hop coming from two directions cuts out around 3 am. I took a 'can't beat em, join em' mentality one night and strolled over to the loud beach bar next door at night to realize that all the loud music was playing for exactly six people who were all yelling to hear one another over the music and not even on the dancefloor. Breakfast in the mornings was good, there's a friendly little mouse that comes by to lap up the crumbs as you eat if you dine alfresco. If you're turned off by rodents, Phu Quoc might but be the best place for you fyi. The bar at the hotel was very small with about 10 stools, but the guys that worked there were nice and the vibe was pretty chill.

M Village Hotel leaves behind only good and pleasant impressions🥹We were met with a very tasty cocktail) and plus a bonus they gave us another voucher for another cocktail 🍹🙂↕️ The number is exactly like in the picture) There is everything for a comfortable stay: water, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, towels, slippers, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer and there is also a safe) And in each room there is an umbrella (just in case of rain) this is very wonderful 👍🏻 Breakfast was included in the price) very tasty 🤤 Vietnamese coffee ☕️ won my heart ♥️ The staff at this hotel are very friendly, genuinely caring and ready to help 🫶 P.S. If you just want to spend time in a calm, quiet environment, then this tropical place is definitely for you ☺️ Oh, I almost forgot) The beach is just a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I didn’t like the sea, the water is muddy, with jellyfish... well, you can sunbathe) You can also get something to eat or drink in the cafe and a sun lounger comes as a gift 😃or you can sit on the sand) as you feel comfortable) the beach is deserted, it’s sad that it’s abandoned ,a few people. The Hotel overall is really great. The room was nice and spacious, however they didn’t clean our room properly everyday. When they came to clean, they only made the bed, didn’t change the sheets and didn’t sweep the floor. They forgot to replace the towels. They took the old towels , but didn’t leave clean ones. We has to ask for sheet changing after the 3rd day and for them to sweep and mop. Because it got sandy of all the sea sand. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly overall in the breakfast hall. I just feel for this time of year (During TET holiday) the hotel was VERY BUSY and under staffed. So therefore the overall experience could have been better if they had more staff during this time. The pool and private beach was really nice and we enjoyed that very much.

The Hotel was beautiful and the garden very nice. The whole hotel area was very clean and has direct beach access, you can get towels at the pool and beach. The access to the water is suitable for children. The staff is fast and friendly in most cases but the food service at the pool was sometimes slow and quite pricy compared to the outside places. The rooms were comfortable and well functioning, the bathroom was in very good condition. The location is good, but outside of the Phu Quoc it’s. However, there is a small night market with many open restaurants is in walking distance. Along the beach you can find a nice walk way and the hotel also offers bike rentals among other sport activities. We would go there again. To other locations for snorkeling or so, you can take a taxi and get everywhere in 40-60 minutes.

You can feel the service the moment you step into the resort!! Front desk staffs are all professional, friendly, and always proactively assist with the luggages. During the stay, we even got the complimentary simple decor and cake for our anniversary. Turndown service also offered although we just stayed for 1 night + free fruits prepared for us👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 In terms of facilities, the swimming pool is super huge and instagrammable for sure!! Mostly importantly, it operates until 10 pm where we can enjoy it until night time. And definitely complimentary airport round trip is offered as long as you informed the hotel 1 day earlier. Highly recommend and hopefully we can visit again!!!

The stay was flawless and awesome! Couldn’t find any fault with it! Staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, Director of F&B Mr Thor was very professional in seeking customers experience by going around and seeking for feedbacks. Service was fast and food was very delicious! We tried everything from restaurant Sea Shack! Room was cozy n view was spectacular, cleanliness was done well, every area around the property was sparkling clean! Never disappointed to stay with IHG group! Highly recommended for travellers who needs a short escape from city to stay at Intercontinental Phu Quoc
