The hotel room was fantastic, very spacious, and offered a great experience, complete with a private pool. It was incredibly comfortable to stay in, and the breakfast was excellent. We even received complimentary tickets to the Pearl Zoo. The staff provided excellent service.
The only downsides were discovering a gecko in the bathroom at night and insects in the pool. Additionally, a strong odor appeared in the bathroom the following day.

This hotel really deserves its low ratings. During the Chinese New Year, I paid over 7000 for a single night. My flight arrived at midnight, and I'd confirmed countless times beforehand that I needed an airport pickup. Both the hotel and Trip.com promised it would be provided, but when I arrived, there was nothing. I ended up waiting at the airport for two hours before they finally showed up. And the 'Chinese service' advertised on Trip.com was also non-existent. Honestly, the service in Vietnam is miles behind Thailand's; there's just no professionalism.

This hotel is absolutely perfect! The staff are really friendly, and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast was delicious, the room was huge, and the pool was also very clean. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day.
We were incredibly happy with the lake view and private pool! The hotel itself is also large and very nice.
The only slight downside was that there were quite a few mosquitoes and no mosquito repellent was provided.

Having read reviews beforehand, I knew the surcharge for children was 500,000 per child per night. Since we had two children for two nights, we paid an extra 2,000,000, which wasn't too bad considering breakfast was included. I paid the deposit in cash beforehand, and they refunded it in cash at check-out. The buggies were pretty prompt – usually arriving within ten minutes of calling the front desk, so no long waits there. The swimming pool was clean and the beach was nice. We didn't experience any of the issues mentioned in other negative reviews, nor did we encounter any discrimination against Chinese guests. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing holiday, especially for families.
The villa was spacious, very clean, and well maintained. We really loved the private pool and the quiet atmosphere — it felt luxurious yet comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent and always on time.
The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful. They were especially kind to children and always ready to assist with anything we needed. This made our stay even more enjoyable.
Breakfast had a good variety with fresh and tasty options. The resort facilities, including the pools, beach, kids’ area, and buggy service, were very convenient and well organized.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality resort experience. We would love to come back again!

During the winter break, I took my parents and kids for an island getaway and chose the Melia hotel. The facilities, service, breakfast, and seaside views were all pretty good. The only downside was that my wife and I got a lot of bites from small bugs in the bedroom, leaving us with rashes. When we talked to the front desk, they didn't offer any medicine or treatment, saying it was just an allergic reaction on our part. They also wouldn't give us a late checkout. Since we're unfamiliar with Southeast Asian insects, we just had to put up with the itching until we got back home! I hope Trip.com can communicate with the hotel, so at the very least, guests receive a small bottle of bug bite relief upon arrival.
