Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Surin Beach

A very nice and good resort especially for kids to have so much fun during our 3 night stay. Hotel staff had also decorated our room for our anniversary base on our special request. They done a very good job. Resort breakfast was good and awesome. Kids enjoy every meal with different variety and selection of food.

Toothbrush not prepare in the toilet it need to order later And food is a little bit normal but swiming pool and slider is really perfect

This resort has a beautiful pool area, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. It has decent facilities but they are in need of maintenance and repair. We were there during the wet season and the ceiling in the restaurant leaked in several places, soaking the chairs. They placed towels on the floor at the entrance to wipe off your feet every morning but didn’t change them all day, so they were usually waterlogged and filthy. There is a movie theatre for the kids, which is lovely, but the screen is a white tarpaulin which is too reflective, making it hard to watch. Breakfast is okay, but the bread is often stale, the fruit was not very fresh, and the coffee in the urn was just instant coffee. You can order proper coffee (cappuccino, espresso, etc) from the ice cream shop next to the restaurant area, and we discovered upon checkout that they didn’t charge us for this, but included it in the breakfast, which was great! But because they don’t advertise this, and because the ice cream shop appears closed until 10:00, most guests suffer through with instant coffee, not knowing there are other options. There are several bar areas where you should be able to order snacks and drinks and exchange towels, but they were never staffed, and it was hard to find anyone to help. There was an incident one night with an electrical fire at 3 AM and the staff who cleaned up the mess in front of our rooms did so with loud shouting conversations for over an hour, while pushing water loudly across the floor with shovels. The next morning, instead of offering an apology, the manager greeted us by asking when we were leaving, which seemed an odd and unprofessional way to initiate a conversation about guest satisfaction. The rooms smelled musty and dank, and housekeeping didn’t regularly clean the rooms and change towels, unless we specifically asked them to. They usually came to check the rooms in the evening when we were already getting into bed. The beach is beautiful but it is across the road and reaching it requires walking through an unattractive garbage-strewn field. There are lifeguards and they did a good job marking safe areas to swim, but the beach is not ideal for young children as there is a strong undertow. The kids loved the slides and the pool and overall we had a good stay, but unless this hotel receives some upgrading and better maintenance, we would not stay here again.

All the front desk staff were professional and friendly. The resort is a bit old but still very nice. I extended my stay because I liked it. The room was in good condition, and the swimming pool was large. This resort is great for families.There are many food promotions, and you can easily spend the whole day there.I definitely recommend it and would love to come back again.

The hotel staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful, from reception to food and beverages. But when it come the condition of the room, it's way too disappointed, the door wasn't fit properly, i had to force open and close, the shower head in my bathroom was half broken, water leaking. The hotel needs to do more with the maintenance. Breakfast was nice, my kid enjoyed it, all fresh and delicious.

Overall, the hotel was good. Everyone from the reception and cafe were really very accommodating. A very good resort with many activities for kids from their kids adventure club. Kids loved staying here. Only a few 👎 points: 1. Location: Close to the beach, but would have been better if the hotel had buggy service to go to the beach/ town area, especially when travelling with elderly, this is an important point. 2. Not a very new hotel, some things in the room may be improved/ refurbished to look better aesthetically. 3. Toiletries - although I do support their environmentally friendly effort to reduce wastage, at least the first day of stay, the toiletries should be provided, the need to ask for them everyday is not very convenient. 4. Housekeeping: they really have to improve on this, if I were to rate them based on their house keeping service..that would be 1 ⭐. Was upset with very rude house keeping staff.
