Was treated like a queen. Truly a wonderful experience. Everyone so welcoming. Shout out to Marrissa. You are the best. Hope to some day see you again 😘 and the breakfast buffet was something to be desired. Also, shout out to the calypso cat, and the crew!!!

Beautiful resort, but was surprised that most staff and people in general on this island are unfriendly and often times rude. This was not just to vacationers but even to each other. It was uncomfortable and felt like we were "walking on eggshells" most of the time.

I thought long and hard about this review, as I didnt want to undermine the main purpose of our party of 22 trip to St James Club, which was to celebrate a family wedding, but fellow travellers need to know. Thankfully our special wedding occasion was perfectly organised and managed thanks to the excellent efforts of the wedding planner Charlene (You’re a star), Charlene exceeded our expectations and was so very thoughtful and caring. Which is more than can be said for the most of the resorts management team approach to customer service and satisfaction, which was non-existant The staff there are generally unfriendly and quite unprofessional , especially the front reception team, lead by a very rude manageress who’s appalling attitude was clearly influencing and reflecting throughout her entire team. In general the resort staff didnt want to be there and were more interested in fellow staff interactions then with any of the guests needs. I'm not sure where the senior management or general manager were but they needed to be more available and perhaps make themselves present around the hotel. Its not rocket science for senior management to circulate and monitor everyday running of the resort and openly communicate with patrons to see if expectations are being met and feedback to see if overall high standards are being delivered. if the poor overall quality and standard we encountered was anything to go by, it was probably due their flak jackets are shot to pieces. Apart from some real gems of staff that just about made our stay bearable, massive thanks to Chad the star bar man and to the Coffee shop barista queen who started every morning with a warm and welcoming smile and the princess behind the pool bar, some of the team at 11/11 Bar , the rest of the staff left a lot to be desired In summary: Until the non-existent senior management start to care about the resorts reputation and 90% of the negative miserable staff learn the core principles of customer service and common courtesy of civility, I will be amazed if the resort last much longer. In reality the resort needs to reset and makes some significant changes, focus on positive guest experience revisions, target renovating below standard tired and dirty accommodation and take a serious look at the very average food across all outlets ( excluding the Italian Piccolo Mondo which albeit expensive was top notch) Regretfully as far as St James Club Antigua goes the cons far outweigh and exceed the pros, the resort leaves a lot to be desired and I strongly recommend fellow travellers to spend their hard earned travel currency anywhere else other than St James Club Antigua.

Property was very nice, staff was excellent. Food was a bit sub par for what we expected. They didn't clean our room every day.

The views are spectacular and there are lots of fun activities to do every day. The food was great. Staff who are serving could be more welcoming and friendly.

We had an extremely relaxing week! Beautiful weather and the resort is beautiful! The pickleball and tennis courts are in excellent condition. Multiple swimming pools and great water activity options (paddle board, snorkle, hobie cat, kayak, etc) Live music every night and all staff was friendly. The bartenders go out of their way to be fun - an extra shoutout to Elvis for great cocktails and always working hard while smiling!

This resort is definitely dated but it was very clean. Unfortunately they only cleaned our room every 2 days which is not great with all the beach sand. Beautiful location and beaches..lots of food options which were mostly good...dining room staff needs to learn to be more efficient and frienfly otherwise they were all very nice. Check in was great!! Would definitely return.

It was a good experience overall. The resort is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, atmosphere is relaxing, not too crowded considering we went towards the end of the peak season and it is kid friendly and the service is great. However, there are a couple of things that need improvement. The "premium" rooms (the ones we booked) have lawn views, not ocean views, besides they are very basic, very basic decor, no couch or a table (these are very basic furniture) in every hotel (even not-so fancy hotels). We had to bring chairs from the balcony to sit and wear shoes. The food especially is very mediocre. Except for Beach Bar and Grill (it has exceptionally good food), all the others with a-la-carte options are at best mediocre. Rainbow Garden has an excellent breakfast buffet but their a-la-carte dinner option is terrible. Firstly we waited for an hour to our entree to be served, the portions were ridiculously small and the taste wasn't great either. My son ordered chicken which was not cooked through and he had tummy issues within a couple of hours. The chef offered to make another plate for him but we were in no mood to wait for another hour to have something plated. And for this sub-standard meal, they need reservations. Coco's a-la-carte was just as bad. Very disappointed with the restaurants in general, they were okay, you will find something edible but that is it. Staff is very nice. Overall it was a very pleasant experience but we have been to resorts in other countries and I cannot say we were blown away.
