We'd planned a multi-day trek on the Alta Via and stayed at both Fiori before and after our mountain trek. We chose Fiori because it was close, but away from the bustle of Cortina, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Missouri. The environment is very good. I got up in the morning and took a walk by the lake and took a photo of Rizhao Jinshan. Surprise! Although the room is not luxurious, it is very clean and equipped with two bottles of water (no other hotels); the hotel breakfast is rich and delicious, and I also used dinner at the hotel the day before, the price is king. I came to B&B Tre Croci Cortina for a solo stay – I've been here on sabbatical for 6 days and 5 nights, and my stay at this B&B was nothing short of amazing. It's located right outside of Cortina, which is very convenient because of how close it is to Lake Sorapis, Lake Braies, and Tre Cime & Cadini di Minsurina. The hotel staff is very kind, patient, and courtesy... and the kitchen/dining staff is PHENOMENAL. They're very intentional about making your staff feel like home. Yamirka & her fellow dining staff made the difference in my staff. The rooms are very modern & there is plenty of space. The view of the mountains is beautiful, too. The only cons I would mention are the level of noise from patrons who don't do their best to abide by the ask for quiet in the hallways – I don't think it's intentional, but the closeness to the hallways makes a bit of a difference. Also, I'm someone who likes to sleep with it very cold, and my room thermostat wouldn't go down for some reason (I just slept with the door open as it was cold outside at night). I couldn't recommend this place more. If you're coming to the Dolomites, stay here! 🖤

August 2024: in 2 Family. We stayed ten days in this hotel. The typical mountain structure surrounded by all green tops, trees and herbs, and cosy with a charming stream. The warm and very familiar atmosphere. The rooms they gave were double and triple, large, with essential furnishings, comfortable beds, TV, large box and large bathroom. We had dinner every evening in the hotel, found typical dishes of the area very tasty and abundant (good tiramisu). The team of ready staff is careful to meet any request, Mrs. Laura was wonderful, William the room manager is funny and sympathetic and fun with customers, The chef chef Mirko carefully and well advised us typical and tasty dishes, Michael at the reception goodly and carefully in performing the service. We stayed in the Radisson Residences apartments with a balcony view of Tofane. The 1 bedroom apartment had all facilities we required with minimal but adequate kitchenette. Excellent location just down from the main piazza which meant it was quieter. Only issue was that there is no air conditioning and the Tofane apartments face west so get all the summer sun making the apartment incredibly hot and airless. The duvets are too hot and I requested lightweight cotton blankets that the reception said they could not provide. Other than this, we had a very enjoyable stay and the staff were always courteous.

Cortina is sort of the heart of the Dolomites (site of the '56 winter Olympics and the upcoming 2026 winter olympics) thus Hotel des Alpes is a beautiful little town and ideal location for exploring these breathtaking mountains and lakes. It is located on the main road north of the town with parking on one side and the hotel on the other. The staff was helpful with finalizing plans for where to visit nearby with realistic with the time available. There is a nice sitting area just off the lobby with bar service, a pleasant dining area that is used for dinner and breakfast bar, and beautiful views from the room and restaurant. Would definitely return if we get the chance to spend more time in the Dolomites.
