Dollywood more than lived up to our expectations for a romantic getaway. We love the Smokies and this gem captures the majesty of the mountains along with the comforts of home and a bunch of little Dolly touches that add to the experience. Quality across the board with engaging staff. 5 stars.

My partner and I had booked Dollywood late last year and had planned to stay for five nights while enjoying the theme park and Pigeon Forge. The hotel itself is clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. We mostly ate breakfast at the hotel buffet. There is a convenience store on site that has breakfast options but pound for pound the hotel breakfast was better value and with plenty of options. For dinner we ate at the hotel twice but I was struck by the lack of options on the menu....for anyone not familiar this seems to be a Tennessee thing, there are two menus, the regular menu and the family menu. Not knowing what the family menu was and remembering the limited choices from the regular menu we ate family one night. Basically you choose something like three or four mains and the same number of sides for the table. What resulted was a mountain of food. It was nice but it was a LOT of food. We didn't really get to enjoy the pool area as the week we stayed it rained basically every day but there is a nice looking pool with adjacent hot tub, although the pool area seems a little on the small side or the number of people the hotel can accommodate. The room was clean and had all the usual amenities. One let down was the fitness room. It's a pretty small room containing two treadmills and either a bike or step machine. There is a rack of free weights that only goes up to 50lbs and precisely one bench. Luckily the times I used the suite there was no one else in it but the size of it and lack of machines etc was a letdown. The gym at the Hard Rock hotel in Orlando is probably twice the size and with just about everything you would need for a decent workout. The Dollywood gym barely qualifies as a fitness "suite". Also if you don't have a vehicle with you, you're going to be in for an interesting time trying to get anywhere in Pigeon Forge. I sked at reception and was given a few cards for local taxis. Two of the numbers flat out didn't work, the other operated a weird system where you phone the number and get an automated message telling you to hang up, text the number where you want to go and what time and someone will get back to you.....maybe. For our stay my partner and I relied on Ubers which normally turned up within ten minutes or so. Overall nice hotel with plenty to do, but let down by a shoddy gym and lack of transport options. A shuttle bus into Pigeon Forge would be a nice touch.

I am a bit late writing my review, but I just have to say how amazing DreamMore is yet again. We have stayed here four times now and are booked to go back in just one month. We stayed here for the new year and it was beyond fantastic. The DreamMore staff are the best that you will find. They are so kind, so welcoming, and so professional. These are the most comfortable rooms I’ve ever stayed in. DreamMore is like being home except in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. They had so many amazing, family friendly activities for the new year, but they also had drinks for those that wanted to have a bit of a more adult holiday. Even though there were so many activities going on up till midnight, I could not hear a thing in my room, and I was on the floor of all of the activities. There is nowhere to else to stay as far as I’m concerned. DreamMore is a dream and we don’t want to stay anywhere else! I can’t thank the DreamMore staff more and I cannot wait to come back here in one month.

Our only complaint is that the bed was a bit too firm. The location and resort was wonderful. Staff was friendly and room was great with a Mountain View.

Clean, comfortable rooms without microwave or toaster or freezer section in mini fridge. Plan to spend a lot of money on food. Excellent pool, and everyone makes you feel welcome, especially the kids. I am highly disappointed and won’t be returning based on one particular problem. No dairy alternatives or non-animal proteins available. I eat vegan for medical reasons, and I’m not excited about it. I couldn’t get any dairy alternatives for my coffee, and the only option for breakfast foods were plain toast or a cup of instant oats (full of sugar). It’s always an option at the restaurants to get a salad with all the dairy and meat removed, but they charge you exactly the same price. I find it incredibly thoughtless not to consider people who have allergies or medical conditions when deciding on restaurant options. Please consider adding at least one dairy alternative and a vegan protein to the menu at every Dollywood associated restaurant. Bean soup? Vegan hot dogs? Veggie sausage? There are so many options now that I felt truly excluded. As the one planning my family’s vacations and deciding where we spend the majority of our money on these trips, as well as all the other plans, I was hoping to have an easier time figuring out food along the way. Not having something nutritious and filling to eat each day was incredibly annoying and made the vacation much less enjoyable for me. Y’all can definitely do better.

The arrival clouded my view and I think should be addressed. You can self park or valet park for $30 per day or some kind of advanced valet parking for $40 a day. The self park is a few minutes walk so really no need to valet park. We were doing neither as we were checking into our room and then heading out. As we were not valet parking we were directed to move from the porch and park in the 15 min waiting spaces and unload ourselves. Five staff who were doing nothing (I presume waiting for valet parking customers) watched us struggle out with our bags and do two trips to our room. No offer of help or use of a trolley. I presume this is a commercial decision to encourage valet parking but frankly it was embarrassingly poor service. If we had not prepaid I might well have left. It is a shame because otherwise the hotel is nice - very well kept and clean with a nice outdoor (unseated but ok towards end of April stay) and indoor pool. Trolley to park works well. It is next to the park but on its own so not possible to walk easily to other restaurants, you need to drive. I really hope the management team read this review and revise arrival processes. We are on a tour of the US and have stayed at a variety of hotels and this was the worst arrival process by some way.

Let me start by saying this hotel is absolutely beautiful upon arrival. They have staff waiting to help unload your vehicle and take to your room this is wonderful. The lobby and grounds a beautiful. The pantry goodies are delicious. The shuttle to the park, as well as the timesavers are a major plus. The ladies selling tickets are precious. The hotel is being renovated level by level, so some rooms are new some are old. The old rooms really need new mattresses. My kids wanted to swim when they heard the pool was heated. It was definitely not and was freezing. When I asked where the hot tub was a rude lifeguard said he wouldn't tell me because my kids where 13 not 16.... I thought this was a very rude response when you pay 500 dollars a night to stay. The smores by the fire was a fun perk. Overall we love this hotel and stay as often as we can.

We loved the DreamMore resort! We were concerned about the cost of staying there, as it's a bit out of our price range, but it was worth it for all the added value. My husband and I kept commenting on the cleanliness and attention to detail at the resort and the park. All the staff at the resort are nice and helpful and very competent at their jobs. The trolley to the park was so convenient and we never had to wait more than a minute for it. It was such a relief to not deal with parking or paying to park. The timesaver wristbands were a great perk. The resort was so quiet even with tons of people there. We didn't have time to use the indoor pool and it was too cold for the outdoor one, but they both looked very nice. We liked the pink lemonade in the afternoon and the s'mores in the evening. We got a room with bunk beds, which is such a rare find and always needed with two kids. No one likes sharing a bed! We are vegetarians, so the food options were a little too limited and the food was very expensive, but we are used to that -- it's nothing unique to this resort. We got some ice cream, pizza, and coffee in their cafe. We hope to come back again when it's warm enough to use the pool and visit the water park. Love Dolly and the high quality that comes with her name.
