The pool was freezing but our room wasn't. A/c unit was broken. Told the front desk and they said they would put a ticket in for it. Over all good place to stay just off the ***** and very close to the island.

Horrible staff was ridiculously rude, especially the guy at the check in for breakfast was gone for 10 minutes I got tired of waiting so I started fixing my plate, guy was rude and told me to check I. First I said I have been waiting for 10 minutes and he said to that I’m the only one here…… well Hilton that’s not my fault

A weekend getaway at Black Fox Lodge was exceptional. The lodge was clean. Room was spacious and the view from the balcony was beautiful overlooking the river.

Location - one street back from the parkway so easy access to everything. We arrived a bit early - around 230 and check in wasn’t technically til 4pm - ladies at the front desk were very accommodating and checked us in early! Our room was on the 3rd floor - from lobby to elevators to our room everything looked clean. Room was very clean and updated. Walk-in shower etc.. I couldn’t hear any street noise from our room. I think there was a shift change while we were passing back out of the lobby to go back out to eat…fellas at the desk were very friendly and spoke to us as we walked out. If you are from the South (as we are too) speaking while passing just being friendly means a lot! I would definitely stay @ BlackFox again!

This place has definitely went down hill since our stay here two years ago. We had a few maintenance issues in our room that were remedied, but needed many prompts. The rooms looked very, very worn. We also were surprised that after cutting a finger, we asked for a bandaid at the front desk and was told they didn't have any, and directed to a *****tore down the street.
