Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, St. Petersburg - Clearwater, FL

There was no water in the vending machines. They had a water fountain downstairs. The water pressure was not good, and I tried showering at 2 different times just to see if timing had anything to do with the pressure. It did not. Also, not hot enough water. The water was tepid at best. Other than the lack of water in the machines and lack of hot water and low pressure, The staff were very pleasant, and the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

We arrived prior to Check In and asked if we could wait in the Lobby until our room was ready. Ms. Prasad, who was attending the Front Desk smiled and told us the room was ready for us. What a pleasant way to begin a WONDERFUL 3 night stay! Our room had been thoroughly cleaned and offered plenty of space with a desk and chair and a comfortable occasional chair and hassock. There was ample room for clothing storage and the room felt larger than we expected for the price. Bed was very comfortable, sheets were soft and inviting as were the 4 pillows provided. We were especially impressed with the Breakfast Room and the choices on offer there. Hot foods were piping hot in large and easily accessible chafing dishes. There were plenty of hot and cold choices to please any breakfast fan. We were impressed that the hot food choices were changed a bit each morning, offering a nice variety of choices for guests staying more than 1 night. We didn't have time to enjoy the Fitness Center or the Pool, but noticed the pool was well maintained and the Fitness Center offered plenty of equipment choices. Also, we didn't need the Business Center Desk that was available to guests, but it was clean and easily accessible off the Lobby. We don't get to the St. Pet area as often as we would like, but will certainly stay at this Country Inn & Suites location the next time we are in that area.

Air conditioning did not work well. Washer did not work, had to restart our load in another machine.

The reviews are too kind for this property. I checked in but the hotel smelled extremely smoky as soon as you walked in and the rooms smelled horribly of mildew. I felt sick within 30 minutes of being there. Rich was kind and helped with my request to change rooms, however the additional room he had also smelled and the bathtub faucet was leaking. His solution to my problem was that he could spray “smoke out” in my room. You can tell this was a run down hotel that got a “facelift” with a fresh coat of paint and updated bathrooms. It was not very clean and was extremely stinky. He could not offer me a refund and it was so bad that I left anyway. I only stayed for about 30-45 mins. I stopped at a gas station to grab a water on the way to find another hotel and when I got back in the car it smelled terribly of smoke and mildew from just that short amount of time. I had to shower and put my clothes in plastic bag to get rid of smell. I picked this hotel as it was close to my conference and was just for one night. I do not recommend. Find another place!

The Hotel in general was good. The room was clean but the carpet not so clean (not shampooed). The cleaning lady was very nice and helpful. The mattresses were not very comfortable. It was hard to have a good night rest. Very noisy in the corridor even at late hours of the night. Thank you.

Large clean room. Very quiet.

Old and outdated carpet had a mildew smell. No hot water when I got ready to take a shower.

Hotel was convenient for visiting Tropicana Field. Friendly staff. Quick check-in and check-out process. Rooms could use some updating. Due to the carpet in the rooms there is a musty smell. Otherwise clean. Close to plenty of chain dining options, movie theater, and shopping.
