Overall, the hotel is satisfactory. It is old and outdated but the cleaning staff does a very good job. My wife and I stayed there for one week over New Year’s holiday. When the hotel was busy, the breakfast buffet was very good, but after the crowd left, the food was very minimal and not tasty. The pool was never cleaned while we were there. The game room had a bad leak and I never saw anybody clean the water up off the floor. The ping-pong paddles and balls were not very good.

I came to Kaohsiung to visit a client on Friday and arranged a weekend trip to Kenting. This hotel perfectly fulfilled my travel purpose, with clean and spacious rooms and reasonable charges (I booked the popular Friday and Saturday days, and the charges were much cheaper than nearby hotels and B&Bs). There are Starbucks and McDonald's next to it, and it's within walking distance to Hengchun. The market is only a 10-minute walk away. I rented a road car and took a detour to Manchuria in the south of Kenting in the afternoon. In the morning, I took a detour from the Marine Aquarium to the Hongchai Forest.
