Hampton by Hilton Pingyao Ancient City

When traveling, choosing a large hotel chain like this one is always a good idea. It's very comfortable, and their service standards are well-established. What I particularly value, the cleanliness, was absolutely spot-on. The room was also spacious. The laundry room and gym on the second floor were especially useful. The laundry room, with its high-powered LG washing machines that automatically dispense detergent and fabric softener, and the dryer, meant I could have my clothes clean and back in my suitcase before bed each day. Breakfast was decent. The front desk staff provided excellent service, always ready to answer any questions. The hotel's location is also very convenient: just a few minutes by taxi to the ancient city and also to 'See Pingyao Again' (a local show). It's about 10 minutes to Shuanglin Temple and 20 minutes to Zhenguo Temple. In the lobby, there's a self-service coffee machine and hot tea available.

Right next to the ancient city scenic area, the location is super convenient. The facilities are brand new, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. The hygiene standards are really high, and the bedding is so comfortable. Plus, they offer a free breakfast buffet with a great variety of options.

The hotel offers a high-speed train shuttle service, which is super convenient. It's also not far from the ancient city and Shuanglin Temple. The staff are warm and attentive. The facilities are comprehensive, including a self-service laundry room. It really lives up to the consistent service standards of Hampton by Hilton.

The hotel is about 3 kilometers away from Pingyao Ancient City. Luckily, there's a shuttle bus service right outside the hotel that frequently takes you into the ancient city. The hotel has a large parking lot, and the surrounding residential area offers convenient options for food and shopping.

First time staying at a Hampton by Hilton, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, spacious, and the overall environment was great. It had all the necessary facilities, and the service was good too. All in all, a very positive experience.

Pros: 1. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. 2. The service is excellent; everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, is courteous. 3. They pay attention to details. When my child got a fever from the cold, they provided a thermometer, and the hotel even sent over a fruit platter. 4. The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, and my elderly parents were very satisfied. The parking lot is huge, easily accommodating all parking needs, and it's free to enter and exit. Overall, this is a five-star hotel that we've stayed at recently. If you're visiting Datong, I highly recommend choosing the Puyan Hotel; my whole family loved it!

The stay was very comfortable, it's just that there were too few washing machines.

The food was pretty good, especially the breakfast. It was a bit hot, even the thin blanket I brought wasn't enough. The humidifier wasn't working very well; I suggest replacing it. The service was excellent.
