Pingyao Rongchang Homestay (Pingyao Ancient City Scenic Area Store)

The hotel is located within the ancient city, very close to Xiximen (West Gate), and it's super convenient for self-driving with ample parking. I think it's much more convenient than staying in the city center where the barriers can be a hassle. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The room is very spacious and looks exactly like the pictures. I got a great night's sleep. The owner even gave us a fresh fruit plate, explained the map to us, and provided a discount card for local restaurants. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir! Overall, the experience was fantastic.

When I visited Pingyao this time, I chose this guesthouse from the many options available in the ancient city. It has a charming, antique feel, and the environment is quiet and elegant. The owner warmly explained the sightseeing route to us and even recommended some delicious restaurants. One of the biggest highlights of this trip was staying at this guesthouse and having so many warm and meaningful conversations with the host, which truly allowed us to experience authentic local hospitality. We highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!
