Pizzo Hotels with Bars

Lots of the photos are for the private lodge for 16+ and not for everyone Cons: -Not enough room for all (tables or sunbeds) -No non smoking area and struggled as an asthmatic -Not much food change same all nights and massive ques for the food -There is only three restaurants for non private lodge and 2 of them have limited menu options or no menu options and the other serves the same food all nights -The pool only has 1 depth and it is not suitable for young children -The surface surrounding the pool is made of a gravel material which is crumbling and gets very hot in the heat and digs into your feet and can cut or bruise them -The website can over exaggerate what is actually available for the public and most of the pictures is not available to the non public area -You feel cut off from the public and need a expensive shuttle to get to the nearest town/city -A lot of hidden fees such as tourist tax, to go to the restaurants for a second time or booking for the private lodge which is what is mostly advertised on the website WHICH YOU DONT GET ACCESS TO -When we arrived we had to wait outside in the blistering heat for 30 mins to check in, then had to wait another 3 hours to get our room after we had been travelling for 7 hours in the early hours -Difficult to book activities and is usually booked before you have chance to look at what is offered -There is no facilities at the resort for bad weather and is underprepared for the off chance it does rain badly -You have to do everything on the app and they tell you what is on only through the app -The bar at night is usually understaffed for the amount of people asking for a drink Pros: -The reception is very helpful such as Anastasia and helped sort out taxis and shuttles when they weren't available for us to use -The pool is good and is kept very clean -The staff are very helpful with your needs -The place is kept very clean -The place is being gardened everyday and the staff are always cleaning fallen leaves -The shows are very good and recommend going to one -The beach is very good and the sea is fun -You can always get a drink from the machines and is always fixed or refilled if needed -The facilities are good at the beach if you go at the right time -The beach is ready for the weather and prepared for the right time -The lifeguards are prepared and always helping with the cleaning -The offer help for the young with swimming lessons for free ( Unsure about that) -Offer around boardgames at night if you don't have any with you

If you want an unbelievable stay near the center of town this is it. We had two rooms and both were perfect. The owners treat the staff and hotel with exceptional care and in turn the staff treats the hotel and guests as family. Sandra, Kala ,her daughter, vincinso. Calabrese girl, and others I can't remember your names thank you. If I were to build a small hotel or small b&b in the US, I would copy this exactly. Everything is done with meaning and a purpose absolutely wonderful. My wife and I travel the world extensively and our hilton diamond members. But we were just blown away by all the detail in this hotel and the exceptional service from the employees. We will be back. We arrived as guests and are departing after 7nights as friends Wifi very strong hot water very hot. Did not use ac as it was cool just opened windows. One caution for this area is parking it is very limited as in most of pizzo. If your renting a car in any hotel in this area I would call and confirm parking. We used drivers, taxis, and tu tus to get around the hotel called for us. great stay WE WIIL BE BACK!!
