ACE Adventure Resort

Had a great time. Guide was really great, lunch was great, lower is just as good as the upper.... except for the weird 2 miles at the end.. kinda like paddling upstream for a hour, with a head wind, when all you wanna do is get out of the boat n have a beer.

The Upper Gauley is an adrenaline packed trip into whitewater land unparalleled by any other that I have experienced, in particular due to our FABULOUS GUIDE TED!!! He made all of the difference as we navigated down the world famous Upper Gauley.

Zac with the rafting was great. All day Lower New River rafting trip, four wheeling with New River ATV (Jacob is great!), mud obstacle course on the second day (mud obstacle course could have been better prepared), then zip lining on the last day with beautiful views an some nice long zips!

Our group had so much fun! The ACE Team made it a fun and memorable trip from beginning to end; from the bus ride there, the rafting trip itself, lunch on the river, the bus ride home (with coolers of bevs for everyone) and the video watching party after. Our raft guide, Kaiden, was outstanding! He was clear in his instructions, he coached us, encouraged us, gave us tips, and was patient with us until we all got our paddling synced up, and then he made sure we had the best time all the way down the river. We had a few first-timers in our group and we’re already planning our next trip! If you’re reading this review, do yourself a favor and stop scrolling and just book your trip now! Request either Kincaid or Dave (D-Run) and then start counting the days to one of the best days of your life!

Some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. We went ziplining which was a first for us and a great experience, stayed in a tent at the campground overnight, then went white water rafting the next day. A great fun packed weekend. We had a great buffet breakfast Sunday morning at a reasonable price.

We went rafting with Kennedy as our guide. It was so much fun and she took great care of us! There were 6 adults in our party including two young adults with Down syndrome. Four out of six us had never done this before. It was just the right amount of adventure, intensity, and beautiful calm rolling waters.

We did just a half day pass at the water park. The park opens at 9 but a line starts forming at the ticket window about 8:45. There are a set of changing rooms at one end of the parking lot for visitor's who are not staying on the property to use. They do not have A/C so were a bit warm in the afternoon when we were changing again but were overall clean. You can fill out your waivers online beforehand or at the park on ipads. Once you are checked in you can get into the park. There are lots of free to use lounge chairs all around the lake. I will admit by midmorning most of those were already claimed so if you are doing the second half of the day chairs might be hard to come by. Everyone is required to wear lifejackets in most areas of the lake and the staff does have to fit you for those when you first arrive. Staff was not in any sort of uniform so that did get a bit confusing. The kids (7-13) had a great time. The adults did too but those inflatable course are not easy to pull yourself up on so you better have some pretty good upper body strength. The slides, zipline and blob didn't open at the same time as the rest of the water park. They opened about an hour later (not sure if that's normal or if something was up that day). They do say no outside food/drink but they did let us bring in a few refillable water bottles. We did not eat but got a few slushies and adult beverages. Prices were about what you'd expect for like your local pool snack bar on drinks (over priced but not like Disney overpriced). Overall it was a great half day.

We have used ace for many outdoor adventures over the years. We love most of the things we do with ace adventures, I can say they need better guidelines for disrespectful and unruly children. Every time I have done anything with ace their were children vandalizing, screaming & being generally disruptive with no repercussions. Otherwise this was a wonderful place.

Great water adventure geared for the under 15 age group. Family oriented adventure water park. Would recommend this adventure for children of all ages. Good food service is NOT a priority. Slow kitchen with friendly service. Once received, the food is delicious.
