Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park

4 star plus but not a 5 star. Slightly mixed review but the end result is that I will return. Don't be put off on arrival as you get dropped off in a row of shops. Entrance is between the shops and a short walk. Pros. Staff Excellent Location Excellent Cleanliness Excellent Entertainment Excellent Check in Excellent Drinks Excellent. Cons. Non prestige Sports Bar staff go from table to table taking drinks order but the Prestige Pool bar staff don't. That seems mixed up. No English speaking television channels but plenty of German/French/Dutch. Turn down service in the evening is very dated and intrusive when you are getting ready for the evening out. Piped music in prestige restaurant is so low that its non existent and the a**osphere is non existent. I asked about the English TV channels and was given a bottle of fizz as an apology but as I was all inclusive prestige whilst it was a nice thought as it was already a free item that was compensation for a missing item that I expected to be available as it was part of my paid package. My room was lovely in 6104 but the balcony was a dreadful disappoin**ent. So small and poor furniture and damn uncomfortable. I really enjoyed the majority of my visit and will return but I have a few vague disappoin**ents . Shame

This was our forth visit to this hotel but not sure whether would book again as I wasn’t well and we had asked for a late check out as we weren’t leaving hotel until 5pm. We were informed the night before that it wasn’t available so we now have to vacate the room at 11am. The only consolation was that Jet2 are picking our suitcases up so we only have hand luggage to hold onto. Also with not getting the late check up there are basic facilities to go get a shower if you want to try to soak up the last of the sun. A lot of other hotels that we have stayed in if you can’t get late check out avail you to a room and give you an allocated slot. Iberostar however only give you the option to use the shower at the spa at an allocated time which I really do not see that as a viable option. Also we stayed in a side sea view room star prestige which was what we had asked for. The only gripe I would make is the confusion with the mini bar, we had upgraded from half board to all inclusive but if you look at the QR code located above the fridge you get charged for the drinks? I would strongly recommend to anyone staying not to touch anything regarding drinks or nuts in the room as you will get a nasty surprise at the end of your stay. Everything else was great, a big call out to Yan, Cherif and Raul at the SP pool bar who were always very friendly and tendered to your every need. The entertainment at night at the pool bar was a mixed bag, sometimes good sometimes not so good but it was so cold at night and they did to be fair handed out blankets but on quite a few occasions they were all gone so we had to go without. We then decided to go to the entertainment in the sports bar and it was definitely warmer and the staff were very attentive. The food was a buffet style with plenty of choice so even the pickiest of eaters should be able to get something to eat. I also have to give a big shoutout to the housekeeping staff and the towel/turndown staff who provided excellent service they cleaned the room to perfection and the turndown service with a wee chocolate was and a welcoming homely touch.

There is nothing to dislike about this lovely hotel/ with a mix of adult areas and family areas it provides the best of both worlds. The staff are polite and helpful and our room *Star prestige Junior suite) was spotless. Food good with the sort of choice you would expect from a buffet style menu. Drink prices were reasonable.

Family trip with 6 year old. Pros: location - walking distance to shops, restaurants & bars. Nice clean room, great balcony with table chairs and sun beds. Extensive buffet breakfast. Great kids pool with slides. Events team REALLY made an effort with sangria classes, aqua aerobics, nightly entertainment etc. They are a credit to the hotel. Cons: No restaurant option on site except for the buffet restaurant. There is a food truck at the kids pool during the day and some bites at the pool bar but nothing else in the evening. The hotel feels like it could do with some more greenery/landscaping as it is very “concrete” / minimalist. I’ve stayed at Iberostar Anthelia before and it felt very green and lush in comparison.

No sun beds available at 8:30am! Went to sit by the pool after breakfast to find it impossible, sun beds reserved with no one on them, no idea why this is allowed and the staff don’t remove them. If you have gone for a drink during the day, for lunch, into the pool, to the toilet then far enough your sun bed will be empty, but to reserve them like this and be allowed to by the hotel is unacceptable!

2nd time here and Currently waiting in star prestige lounge for transfer after 5 day stay. Only 4 stars this time as food was average at best. Staff at bars and restaurants are all a credit to the hotel and best we have experienced. Room was lovely and bali beds are a must for the lazy ones like us. Few French people think they own the sunbeds but if you don't mind them its great place for relaxing time. Whole hotel is spotless.

Returned last week from a fabulous 10 night stay at this hotel. Could not fault the staff, the food, the cleanliness and general all round feel of the hotel. Our room was brilliant almost like an apar**ent rather than a hotel bedroom. The food was varied and served by very friendly and helpful staff. The dining room was cleared very quickly and anything staff could help with they did. Particular mention to the bar staff who were great - particularly Jessica.
