Staff were great, location really good, food buffet was really good with lots of freshly cooked options, all inclusive good value

Overall experience was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. I do consider the hotel to be closer to 3 star with some elements being a 4. Staff - Most of the staff were friendly and smiley. I have a lot of respect for the restaurant and bar staff. They worked extremely hard and were super friendly. Most of the reception staff were really kind and helpful. Entertainment - I do wish there was more entertainment activities to do and watch. However, the singers they had in were all very talented and often singing songs everyone would recognise Food - As a meat eater my partner really enjoyed the food as there were lots of options of meat and seafood. As a vegetarian there were definitely some options but the food was very similar everyday. So I ate pretty much the same dishes everyday. Not great for someone who is vegan. Also, I loved the Churros and would have loved them to be available every breakfast. Most all inclusive hotels I have been to start breakfast from 7am but here it is from 8am. I did wonder why they decided to start at this time. All inclusive ends at 23:00pm. Drinks - We really enjoyed the inclusive cocktails but some staff would make an effort with them and others didn't. Which meant inconsistency. Loved the vegan ice slush and that a coffee/tea machine was available to use. The soft drinks tasted quite cheap. I am pretty sure the Pepsi was fake Pepsi. I stayed at another Labranda hotel and they definitely had genuine Pepsi. Rooms - The size and structure of the rooms were great. So spacious and modern. The shower is huge. The water temperature is great. The beds sheets and pillows so comfy. Although the room was clean there were some aspects that let it down. Some of the towels had marks on them. There was a throw over on the bed that was stained and had hair on it. I took it off the bed everyday but the person who cleaned the room failed to notice it was unclean everytime they put it back on. I didn't want to make a fuss about it so didn't say anything but I am pretty sure it wasn't cleaned after the previous guests. The tv remote was filthy and for some reason on the last day the tv was making an unsafe electrical static sound. Open areas - were often cleaned and again friendly staff who would say hello around these areas. The games machines were unfortunately outdated or not working correctly. We lost a few euros to the machines. One time we reported to reception staff and got the money back. I also cut myself on the air hockey machine trying to find the disc to play with. It got stuck and on trying to remove it cut myself. I didn't want to make a fuss so didn't report it. Pools - x3 pools together and each one is deeper than the next. The deepest pool I could still stand up in so not that deep overall. I am about 5ft 7. The shallow pools are great for children or for someone who is concerned about a deep pool. The pool water is very cold. This did stop my partner from entering it and I did hear other guests say that

Lovely hotel, staff were so friendly & helpful, food really good, beautiful views, very clean comfortable beds, only thing missing no English tv channels, but will definitely go back next year. If you want to eat out there are lots of bars & restaurants near by, just a very relaxing holiday.

Our stay started of really well, at first thought the accommodation was great, once the holiday excitement calmed we started spotting little faults with the accommodation I.e shower head dropping to bits, toilet loose and doors been poorly repaired. The entertainment was well below what you expect when going on holiday, kids disco was just a DVD on a tv screen and poor musicians singing every night some what average if I’m being polite. Staff seemed overworked and some just miserable. We went all inclusive but was not told the bar closes at 11pm both in the pool bar and lobby, any alcoholic drink after is to be paid for….. bearing in mind the lobby bar is only open 21:00-24:00hrs. With part time staff operating. The games facilities was poor…. Aging pool tables and arcade games what just don’t work. I feel this hotel looks like paradise on the cover but somewhat disappointing when scratching the surface. A real shame to what was going to be a lovely holiday on a lovely island.

The staff and hotel was lovely. The pool bar had amazing cocktails and overall we was very pleased with it.

Full review after an 8-night stay. We booked via Jet2 and arrived late evening of 26th May after a 35 min coach transfer (3rd drop). The check-in was very slow due to only 1 x member of staff, who insisted on giving the same individual briefing to each family. We did however appreciate that they had a cold buffet for us. It did look like it was there for some time so avoided the chicken legs and prawns.... Staff were, by and large, very good. The exception being a member of staff on reception (Older lady - I want to say Simone). She was rude on the 3 out of the 4 occasions I spoke to her, including hanging up on me when I called reception to report no water flow - prompting me to walk to reception to continue the conversation. Customer service isn't for her. Location - this will be mixed depending on what you're after. There's nothing within the vicinity. Apart from the Volcano! Everything is at least a 20 minute walk away - including beaches and shops etc. It is however a nice walk to the likes of Playa Blanca (30 min), and the new Marina (40 min). The nearest beach is about 20 minutes' walk. Taxis are also cheap. Circa 5 Euro to all the above. Our 7 year old loves a beach, but we struggled to find one we liked. People recommended Dorada beach - but it's very touristy - Irish pubs and full English-type places. You could however hire boats / jet skis etc there. The hotel it's self: The room. We appreciated the space and quiet terrace - that was lovely. We'd been upgraded to a sea view room - and if you looked very, very closely, between the branches of a tree - you could just about see it. I don't recommend paying for this. I would however recommend asking for a room away from the pool bar and games area. We had 424 - a great spot. The room it's self was tired and basic. Clean, nonetheless. I couldn't declare it a 4* room, however. I can't comment on the TV etc as we didn't use, but we had a safe and kettle. No iron etc. We also didn't need the air con as it was cloudy every, single, day. Our 7yr old had the sofa bed. 10 minutes after we arrived, I was back at reception asking for a mattress topper. I was told it would be fitted in the morning and it didn't arrive during our stay. I wouldn't recommend having a teenager in one of those. 1 x bottle of water replaced daily (between 3 of us, however). Food. You won't go hungry. Some weird concoctions, but the chap on Pizza duty was brill and there was usually things like Paella. I lived on the above. Omlettes and eggs were also good in the morning. They did mix it up quite a lot, which was good to see. Not amazing but you're not going to struggle - which I perhaps would have if it wasn't for Pizza man! Drinks. Shockingly bad. So very, very, very bad. On AI you have draft Amstel - fine. But everything else, including soft drinks is so incredibly bad. Pepsi and unbranded soft drinks and spirits. No one wants a Rum and Pepsi. The wine (rose, white, red and sangria) is from a tap. T
