Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

Arrived at hotel for a nine night stay in UP! pool view room, half board. Checked in & went to room. Don’t think the room was ready as some minutes later as we were unpacking a work man arrived to fix shower door. We had to wait in room till he finished although he wasn’t long. No gowns or slippers in room either which is advertised comes as a package with the UP! Experience. Went to dinner to be told a restaurant door that I hadent booked! I advised the girl that I hadent been made aware of this on checking in to be told ‘I’m telling u now’!! but let us in this time. This was quite embarrassing as people waiting behind us. I found not much variety or quantity of food, had few chips that night. Next night not much better, there was steak on which I took but quality so poor I culdnt even chew it. Bowl of ice cream & fruit that night! Decided to downgrade to b&b as we were buying meals outside anyhow for the next 7 days. Informed travel rep of all of this & after interacting with manager few days later was told that we weren’t being reimbursed for the 7 nights we weren’t going to eat in the restaurant. An extra expense for us! We had cockroaches on r balcony & in room, I was terrified, never slept a night while I was there. Hotel informed & was told it’s normal in this climate & cleaner knocked door & handed me a tin of spay for them, never deterred then anyhow. Myself & husband where upset of how things-where working out & spoke to quest relations Agoney, he was pleasant, listened & apologised for everything & assured us issuers would be sorted and we would get our robes & slippers as well. I told him that I’ve read reviews & the hotel always says in them did you tell us? So I wanted to do that. We were told everything would be sorted out. Astonishing to say nothing was done! No one seemed to care. I couldn’t wait to get home & cancelled another holiday I’d booked for next year, I was put off completely!! On a positive note The Arona Gran sent an email wishing my husband a happy birthday while we were there. I will never stay in a spring hotel again’

Quite helpful staff, clean, and, well positioned for bars, shops and the beach. Having previously stayed here before I was a little disappointed that the food quality had declined with less choice than expected, I hired a mobility scooter and found that the charging area was so overcrowded that on several occasions I was unable to charge the scooter,or retrieve it. The revamped pool is much better, but the sun beds around the pool really need upgrading, other than having to pay extra for the privilege

Hotel has gone down hill.. staff brilliant.. sadly too many cutbacks..half board has plummeted to 2 star hotel.. won’t return.. sadly.. hotel will be gone in 5 years to a lower market clientele.. with a heavy heart.. such a shame..the owners of spring hotels are heading for a fall…

2nd year staying at the Vulcano and can't wait to return. This hotel is just lovely. I booked a twin room and 2 friends booked similar. The hotel had no problem putting us in adjoining rooms which was very handy for us. As we were staying for 7 nights we opted the airport transfer to be organised which was very straightforward and once we arrived in Tenerife airport it took less than 5 minutes for us to be in the car and on our way to the hotel. Check in was very quick and straightforward as well. The receptionist that we had for check in and out was really helpful and pleasant. I did find some of the others not as nice! This year we noticed that there was no bottles of water in the room, but the hotel has replaced this with water coolers on each floor which to be honest was so much better. You had access to chilled water at any time and you could buy a reusable bottle at the reception for 3.95. This year we opted for bed and breakfast and we weren't really sure what to expect, but we were really happy with the buffet option in the mornings. There is such a wide variety of foods from an Egg station with a chef cooking omelette to orders, to cheeses, pastries, fruit, cereals, hams, juices , pancakes and waffles. You're spoilt for choice at breakfast time. We spent our week by the pool and apart from the first morning where we find it hard to get loungers together, we had no such problem any other morning. The hotel has activities running throughout the day with Bingo on about 10ish and Aqua aerobics at 11.30. There is a games room where they set up Darts, Archery and Bowls throughout the week. There is also a bar restaurant by tbe main pool and we ate here the majority of the week as well. It's can be paid by card or put on your room and paid on check out. The service is very fast and food is lovely. I can recommend the Ham and Cheese toasties and the Chicken Caesar salad. Towels can be got at the lifeguard and changed however many times you want. There are 3 pool areas. The main pool, tbe Balance area that overlooks it and then the Infinity pool in the UP area. As we didn't have access to the latter two I can't say whether they are any good. The rooms are nicely furnished with comfy beds and a nice sized shower. Tbe air con is powerful as well. We managed to get the WiFi working this year, something we didn't our previous year. If you download the spring hotel app it makes it easier. You can also add your reservation to the app to check in and you can also keep track of your spending. The hotel is in a great location. If you leave and turn right and down there is a selection of bars and restaurants and a little further down is the Golden Mile area. The beach is just over a 5 minute walk as well. While the hotel is pretty much an older crowd it makes it a really nice relaxing place to lounge about and enjoy the sun. The exterior is well maintained and landscaped. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My partner and I stayed at Vulcano Hotel in May to celebrate his birthday, and it was a delightful experience! The staff were exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room and a birthday cake (for which we paid €20). The breakfast was decent, though not remarkable, so we opted to eat out. Our room was lovely and impeccably clean, with daily housekeeping doing an outstanding job. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Stayed here recently with my sister excellent hotel and the reception team and customer experience manager were the best as my sister had to be hospitalised as she fell and broke her foot,( but not in the hotel I hasten to add) the reception staff were brilliant they rang for an ambulance for us and the customer service manager was really kind and rang me later to see how she was also he looked after my sister when she arrived back at the hotel issuing us will a wheelchair and then helping the day after with our suitcases and into the taxi when we checked out, the hotel itself was beautiful, food was excellent and rooms were lovely and also cleaned and towels changed everyday can't recommend the hotel highly enough if ever we come back to Tenerife would definitely stay at the Vulcano again without a doubt xx

Booked the UP experience (adults only) which I would highly recommend. It is so peaceful and restful. Beautiful area, plentiful snacks and drinks. Lovely staff (especially Miguel and Agoney). Hotel and rooms are beautiful and clean. Buffet meals are a bit repetitive and not the best depending on your taste. Great locality if you want to go out on the town, loads of bars and restaurants nearby and beach within walking distance.

I have been going to Tenerife for 25 years but this is the first time I have stayed in the Vulcano. I always thought it looked like a fabulous hotel and don’t get me wrong, it is very picturesque and grand in all aspects however, the standards didn’t feel quite so high in some areas. First of all, we had 4 cockroaches in our room within the space of 24 hours and we couldn’t sleep properly out of fear. When escalating this to the front desk, they said it was “normal” due to the climate and they would get us a “deep clean” however it was just a maid with bug spray turned up. In my opinion, I don’t think 4 cockroaches in a short amount of time is normal, especially as I have been to Tenerife many times and never encountered this issue. they clearly have a cockroach problem. They convinced us to stay in the room for that night and see by the morning however that night we saw 2 more and we got the heck out of there and demanded to be moved at 11:30pm. Luckily, Patricia who was on the front desk who was the only helpful staff member moved us straight away with no fuss to the 7th floor to an UP room for free and had an even better view of the pool and could see the sea for miles. It really did improve our overall experience in the hotel. However in this room, we did encounter 1 more cockroach but we let it slide as it was just 1 and also we had a lot of issues with our safe in which the maintenance man had to be called up a total of 4 times. The food was very hit and miss, some nights it was really nice and flavourful and lots of variety but more often than not, it was very bland and had a lot of the same old food being offered which could be really boring. A lot of seafood which isn’t to every one’s taste. I think it really does depend on the chef that night. Balance terrace was nice however it’s not worth the extra money I don’t think. The pool there was really shallow and wasn’t that cool at all, it felt warm and in the hot weather, it’s nice to have a cool pool. Overall, I’m glad I stayed here to experience the Vulcano but I wouldn’t stay here again.
