Spent 10 days here at the end of April with husband and teenage son. The hotel is lovely, rooms are very clean and well equipped, although felt like the main bedroom could've done with a mirror and dresser. Most importantly, the animation staff were awesome. We were the only English family at this time, and they made sure we were included in everything. Special shout out to Max, who went above and beyond. The hotel is well situated, lots of great restaurants within easy reach. The beach was a good 10-15 minute walk though, downhill there uphill on the way back.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is well located and quick to get to from the motorway. Didn't find walking anywhere a problem. Booked a one bed but were put in a two bed so plenty of space. Balcony was lovely and aircon worked well. Found the bed comfy but the apartment could do with a touch of updating things like the safe still needed a large key rather than a code. The pool is nice but shutting at 18:00 seems very early. Further we were in apartment 479 and the noise from the bar/restaurant below was so loud. On both Saturday and Monday night (we only stayed for 3 nights) there was very very loud live music which the doors did little to stop. Further parking is an issue on arrival there was no space and we had to park around 500 meters away. Despite this we would return

This hotel is spotless and the staff are all so friendly. The girl lifeguard is amazing she never takes her eyes of the kids and is so much fun with them my children Tianna & Parker loved when she was on duty. The food was lovely in the restaurant along with the pool food. Night time entertainment was great but was made even better when Roberto & Max would come out and entertain the crowd even more! Julia in the bar was so lovely too and ofcourse my little 7 year old son took a total shine to her 🥰 🤣These staff members are a credit to the hotel. Our first family holiday ends tomorrow and I would recommend to anyone with small children.

Hemos pasado una noche en Sol Barbacan y ya estamos pensando en volver con amigos. Muchas gracias por la amable atención de Recepcionistas y el personal de buffet. Hemos visitado muchos hoteles de Meliá y sin duda el mobiliario y limpieza de este hotel destaca mucho comparado con otros hoteles de cadena Sol Meliá. Gracias a todos por hacernos sentir bienvenidos y cómodos.

Wederom een super vakantie gehad in Barbacan. Heerlijke bungalow, alles goed verzorgd, prachtige tuinen en vriendelijke medewerkers zoals bij de receptie, het restaurant en het zwembad (vooral de energieke en altijd vrolijke dame). Paar kleine minpunten; kluisjes op de kamer met sleutel ipv pincode (waar zie je ze nog?) en het zwembad gaat al om 18.00 uur dicht, wat echt minstens een uur te vroeg is.

Aparta-hotel con huéspedes principalmente holandeses y norte de europa de tercera edad. El hotel es tranquilo, nada de ruido en las horas de descanso. El apartamento tenía una orientación sur muy soleada con gran terraza con sillas, mesas y hamacas, salón bien amueblado con cocina americana pequeña pero con lo necesario. La habitación amplia con 2 camas de 90 juntas con salida directa a la terraza y vista a la piscina principal. El baño correcto con ducha y ventana exterior. Tres piscinas muy limpias y bien dotadas con hamacas y sombrillas (agua climatizada) acceso muy cómodo para personas con movilidad reducida. El restaurante bien resultado bien atendido con comidas y desayunos variadas y de calidad (excepto zumos) El personal muy profesional en todos sus puestos y muy agradables. Nota negativa es la distancia al hotel a la playa más cercana.muy lejana para personas mayores y parejas con niños pequeños.

We stayed in April 2024 for ten days as a family of five. It was a package holiday with Jet2. The staff were all friendly and worked really hard. The hotel was clean and tidy. There was two large pools areas with a life guard in each. There was no sunbed wars. The aircon in the rooms was ice cold. The food at breakfast was fairly basic but a decent variety. The beach was a 20 minute walk. If you were elderly or had young children it would be an issue. The hotel is set on a busy roundabout, so there is traffic noise at all times. The entertain staff were lively and friendly. The drinks and snacks were fairly expensive. Overall a good stay in a reasonable location. We would return.

Beautiful bungalows set in lovely well kept grounds . 2 main pools both plenty of sunbeds and lots to see and do . Small adults pool but nice and quiet if you want time away , and a baby pool , with sunbeds near by and slightly away from the main pool which although not having a baby I thought was a good idea as parents could relax a little more . The bungalow has a rooftop terrace which was just gorgeous . The best part for us was the entertainment team . Travelling with a 14 and 9 year old they really made the kids feel like they could get involved and were so nice , but also while not forcing you to join in if you don’t want to . Those and the grounds it’s set in I think make the hotel . We didn’t eat in the hotel but had a couple of really nice meals out , although the area isn’t for us and I probably won’t return to the area itself , it’s only because outside the hotel ( unless you went the yumbo centre ) which looked a bit seedy there wasn’t loads close by in forms of entertainment. But we might just not of found it ! Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and even more so for families .

Wir waren in einem Bungalow. Sehr schön. Pool war sehr schön warm. Freundlicher Empfang. Alles perfekt. Zum Strand muss man halt etwas laufen.. dafür sind viele Lokale und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten rund um das Hotel.
