Corallium Dunamar by Lopesan Hotels - Adults Only

7 night's all inclusive @ Corallium Dunamar in Gran Canaria with the Unique package. This is our 4th holiday with Jet2 but the first at this hotel. Smooth check in and outbound flight, greeted by Jet2 staff at Gran Canaria Airport, private transfer to hotel all went well. Warm welcome at the hotel, all the staff are so polite and helpful and work hard. The hotel lobby, gardens, swimming pools and bars are really kept well and the views are amazing. We were allocated room 1220, the views from the balcony are breathtaking. The room itself and the corridor outside the room could do with a bit of modernisation, it's clean but a bit tired. The shower water pressure is very low and the water is not always hot, we had more luke warm or cold showers than hot ones! We also had an issue of the dirty towels being taken away on two days but not replaced, quickly sorted out by reception staff. The room cleaning service was in our experience, not great, certainly compared to other hotels we have stayed at. The breakfasts in the unique restaurant are fantastic, very much fine dining, plenty of choice and great presentation. The food in the main restaurant was good too. The entertainment in the main bar in the evenings was really good and the bar staff are great, nothing is to much trouble. A special mention to the lady that runs the Coral bar (1pm - 8pm) outside by the two smaller swimming pools, she works really hard and is so polite, attentive and helpful and keeps the area very neat and tidy. I hope the hotel management really appreciate her efforts and that of some of the other staff that really do go above and beyond to make everyone's stay a fantastic experience. Fantastic hotel, food is excellent although could be hotter as with most all inclusive style buffet. Breakfast would be nice with proper sausage and please please hash browns on the menu. Paolo in the restaurant was lovely too. We stayed in room 1121 deluxe sea view initially disappointed with the size of the balcony, so asked for an upgrade. They upgraded us to superior with the unique experience for very little extra. These balconies are much better with sun beds and larger! Room 1211 was perfect for us 12th floor on the end and very private. We shall return and book the superior unique experience. We were half board and didn’t appreciate the £2.50 euro charge for a bottle of water that barely filled 2 small glasses.

Just arrived back from our week trip! Had such a lovely time the hotel it’s self is beautiful so airy and specious, the view of the sea is breathtaking so close to the Dunes also very good location. So me and my partner got upgraded to the Seaview room which was so lovely on the 3rd floor, the first night we didn’t sleep well due to the bars playing music till 3am we heard the bass vibrating on our pillows even with earplugs. So if you are a light sleeper i probably recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel, We did complain about this the following morning and was sorted to move to a quieter room away from the bars, was a bit of a hassle to move rooms espically because we unpacked but this was sorted out immediately. And after that we slept really well and was giving champagne for the inconvenience from guest relations which was a perfect touch. The food is 10/10 so much options loved some night they have different themes from chinese to mexican and of course canary food. we didn’t do the unique experience i found the hotel it’s self so nice you really don’t need to. we did half board which was great because we eat out to some restaurants for lunch which was perfect for us. We did get some cloudy and windy days so we did take the Taxi to Amordes beach which is breathtaking did cost around €30 in a taxi. But we then found out you can grab a bus straight there to as little as €3 it’s 5 mins walk from the hotel the Bus ‘33’ takes you to puerto de morgan also. Takes around an hour to get too but good for saving money. Also takes you to Maspalmos ***** which you can watch stunning sunsets. Amordes it’s better weather when it does get cloudy in Playa de ingles. sun beds are around €12 to use also. Otherwise i would defo come back enjoyed my stay also thanks Felix one of the chefs very welcoming and appreciate all the hard work. Lovely Staff and Bar staff also very etentive. The reason for the 4* is because there could be some changes when you are eating at the restaurant you might be waiting a while before you get seen to order drinks. I wish there was a way you can self help yourself to drinks sometimes we had to go up to staff to get a drink menu and even order. I think because there not much staff sometimes i see them running around because they are over worked be nice to have other staff to help with this.

This is the 3rd time I've written this but I can't let it pass without writing my praise to all the wonderful staff at this hotel! Hopefully this one works... My husband James and I went as 'Unique' guests, even though at the time of booking I had no idea what that meant! You get special privileges... It was right royal treatment 😍. The Breakfast chef Arminda was superb and wonderfully served by Sabrina, Paula and Carla. Lunch and dinner... We were waited on by Joseph... An absolute star 🌟 A La carte special dinner... Juan Carlos... The king! An unsung hero was Pedro... The most fastidious and careful cleaner, I have ever seen 🥇 All the staff were lovely and the ladies who did the housekeeping were excellent... Thank you! The day trip through the mountains with Discovery was brilliant... Thankyou to Jennifer who sold it to us. 💟 This was a special holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and all it had to offer.
