Very convenient property near the beach. If you have a vehicle you can park at the property and there’s a shuttle that can take you back and forth to playa hermosa. Our room was a little outdated and with thin walls you can basically hear guests next door in every conversation.

The room was warm took three days to get that addressed. There was only one buffet not three restaurants pools are not like in the pictures and needed more umbrellas out there and the liquor is bottom shelf. Andrew is very basic nothing like the pictures this resort misrepresented itself. And the location is not where it says on the website. Oh, and they had water problems one day with no water throughout the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful, but won’t be going back there again.

My first visit to Costa Rica, this all-inclusive was amazing! The food was the highlight for me -- very tasty and always something different every day. The view from the resort is well worth the shuttle needed to get to the beach. The beach was very gorgeous and almost secluded. The staff were always very attentive and helpful. Truly kind people, incredibly beautiful resort! The room itself was comfortable, the only issue we had was the sliding door was not sealed all the way when closed, so we could hear everything outside. Just a minor thing, but overall amazing value for the price! Would return

The staff were lovely, our room was fine, not fancy, but all we needed w/ working AC and a beautiful view. If you’re not paying all inclusive, and staying in the villas with your own food, it’s a good location for that. The spa experience was great.
The food was awful. For an ocean side resort there was only fish (which was severely overcooked, as were most things) one night, and no seafood or shellfish. Either they are not buying the best ingredients, or, they’re not being stored adequately. The options were limited. The “fresh” fruits were always sad looking. It became depressing having to eat there everyday; we went to other restaurants as much as we could (not in budget).
There is almost no shade by the smaller hotel pool, save for a small section on either side for max 12-16 people. The wet-bar pool has slightly more shade, but it’s also quite limited. They do not serve you poolside, you go get drinks yourself. Bring a water bottle to refill, there is also no water service just jugs around the resort (and 2 that get refilled every day in your room).
If you get up early, there is plenty of lounges down at the beach front, which was the best and most enjoyable part.
We also had no water for 16 hours, then had not enough water pressure when it came back; we went 2 days without the ability to shower. There was no communication or considerations made for this major inconvenience.
Keep your expectations low, bring your own hot sauce, and make the best of it…

There wasn’t much choice or variety in the food, but the staff and the eating area made up for quite a bit of that. We were warned that there was only one restaurant so that was no surprise. There were some fun activities throughout the day. Also, there was a shuttle that came every 10-15 minutes to take you to the beach or front desk. The front desk was awesome in helping us choose just the right activities off campus. All in all, we were very happy with our week at Villas Sol. Thanks, everyone!

This property had amazing views of the bay and the beach was easily accessible. It was really nice being all inclusive, but the food was just okay. Both pool areas we visited were nice and there was plenty of chaise lounges and other seating. The staff members were all very nice and helpful. Our room was quite dated and could use a good refurbishing. I would recommend this resort as long as you are not expecting gourmet cuisine and pristine sleeping quarters.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was ideal, nestled close to local restaurants and grocery stores, with an unbelievable view that took our breath away. The villa's layout with three separate bedroom suites around a shared common area provided both privacy and a place for gathering. Each room having its own bathroom added a touch of luxury and convenience. The property shuttle was a great perk, making it easy to move around without driving. We also fell in love with Saltina the cat, who became our regular visitor, stopping by for food and a little siesta before heading out again. Our host, Daniela, was incredibly responsive and personable, enhancing our experience further. She even arranged a memorable 4-hour boating trip that included snorkeling and exploring, which we loved so much that we booked a second trip for more snorkeling and fishing. A truly memorable vacation, thanks to the attentive staff and the exquisite setting of the villa!
