This was a fantastic place to stay a few years ago. Unfortunately it’s aged and understandable in some respects. It needs an upgrade to be honest. The terrible issues is the car park during the week. Work Lorrie’s parked across six car parking slots. Large vans taking two slots. No place to eat in the restaurant because of the workers. The workers taking up one table of four. I get they pay the same and therefore we are all the same. However it’s either a place to enjoy for a family or a place for a building workforce that need a place to stay with their work wagons.

Our 3 night stay just required a clean room with kettle and TV which was well provided, as was the Wi-Fi. The reception was great and generally every thing met our needs. Unfortunately we were in the 'newer' part that juts out into the carpark and is slightly higher meaning a short metal edge stairway right outside our door. The constant foot traffic until midnight together with the South West area clog dancers meeting in the room above meant an early nights sleep was not to be. It was quite warm and a little stuffy in the room even with the small opening of the window , but that let in the traffic noise. Advise a 1st floor room, if you need it quiet. The car park gets packed with large vans and trucks by early evening, making late arrival parking difficult.

After checking in and going to my room it quickly became apparent that the free wifi did not reach into my room, I could get a signal along the corridor but this was lost with seconds of stepping into the room. I reported this to the reception who gave me an access code for the ultimate wifi (more on that below). This predictably did nothing as the signal is still coming from the same router. After going to reception again the two young ladies on reception, shrugged, said they were full and went on with there chat. Where I could get a signal this was very slow. The free WiFi tested at 0.05 Mbps and the ultimate wifi an 'incredible' 2.09Mbps; this was in the connected restaurant next door even though the icon in the status bar was full. Good for nothing. Premier inn do advertise there ultimate wifi as upto 8 times faster than the free so they are doing as promised there, albeit they are starting from a very low Base.

Get the best treatment by the staff at this premier inn, especially from Agnes & Kirsty as they’re always on the desk when we check in every week for the past 6 months, wouldn’t like to say we get special treatment (but we do) from your favourite two brothers, Macca & Dan

Due to an admin error my room booking was incorrect. This could have been a real problem, but it was dealt with brilliantly by Cassidy. Thank you so much for your help it is really appreciated, you are a real credit to Premier Inn. I congratulate you on your empathy, patience and help.

We have stayed here a few times, the location is good for visiting family. All the staff are very friendly and a definite plus for this Premier Inn, but the building itself is in great need of refurbishment, it is very tired but having said that it is generally not expensive. Would we stay again? Yes, because of the location and also has very good parking but could be so much better.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Sadly the rooms are very tired and in need of a good clean and decorating. Around the edges of the walls and cupboards you could see dust where the hoover has not quite reached the sides. On the ceiling were spots and evidence of black mould, which someone had clearly tried to clean off but made it look terrible. Room was very hot, the bed was very comfortable. We went next door for dinner, it was OK, they asked us to sit in the bar as the restaurant was full. Oddly when we looked in, it was only 1/3 full. Meal was OK but nothing special and certainly not worth the price charged. Breakfast was great. I stay in a lot pf premiere inns, this is the first one which has not been fantastic. But I will say again the staff were lovely.
