So, first thing first. The owner called to confirm our planned time of arrival and was there to greet us and was very polite. I'm not disregarding other reviewers experiences, merely stating my own. To start with, for a budget b&b it's a tad on the high price end, but as a last minute booking it's forgiven by being right next to the city centre. While it does have full kitchen facilities with tea, coffee and sugar there's no milk. While I recognise that there is a fridge for a one night stay there wasn't much point to buying a pint of milk, so having some little UHT cartons would be a nice touch. The room wasn't large but it was nicely decorated and clean(not 4 in a Bed clean but perfectly serviceable) and had a nice ensuite. Water pressure was a bit pants but you're still able to have a shower. My pet hate is a double bed pushed against the wall. It's okay if there's one of you but for a couple it's a bit awkward clambering over each other. Perhaps the room would be better as a single, especially say over a week long let, what with all the facilities available in the room which were mostly wasted on our short stay. Otherwise, the decoration in the main b&b is eclectic to say the least, but it does make it quirky even if won't be to everyone's tastes. Also, parking in the area is fairly nonexistent, so worth a look on one of the parking apps for a cheaper alternative to the longstay nearby. Overall its not the best overnight stay I've ever had but it also doesn't come close to being the worst. Good for couples who literally just need somewhere to rest their head.
